001:Welcome to Your Garden Doula Podcast

Welcome to the debut episode of "Your Garden Doula," the podcast that explores the essence of true health and how we can achieve it through the magic of gardening. I'm your host, Gina, known as Gina's Gardens on Instagram, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to this exciting journey. In this first episode, I take you through my personal journey—how I discovered my passion for gardening and holistic living. Growing up with severe allergies expanded into full-body eczema and shaped my childhood. This health struggle became a turning point that guided me toward a holistic lifestyle. I share the transformative moment when a dermatologist linked my eczema to chemicals in everyday products. The prescribed hypoallergenic regimen worked like magic, opening my eyes to the impact of ingredients on our well-being. This revelation sparked a lifelong commitment to scrutinizing product labels and questioning conventional medical wisdom. As I navigate through personal experiences, I emphasize the importance of recognizing that even prescriptions can have adverse effects. This realization shattered the myth that doctors are infallible, prompting me to trust my instincts and seek knowledge from diverse sources. The podcast delves into holistic approaches in various aspects of life. From gardening to motherhood, healing opportunities, and nutrition, we explore interconnected systems and emphasize the significance of viewing life as a whole. I invite you to join this safe space where we share stories and experiences, fostering a community that questions authority and embraces holistic living. While my roots lie in gardening, "Your Garden Doula" is not confined to a single topic—it's an exploration of holistic health with a focus on why growing your own food is paramount. As we embark on this journey together, I encourage you to reach out on Instagram at Gina's Gardens with your thoughts, experiences, and topic suggestions. This podcast is a celebration of holistic living, and I'm excited to have you along for the ride. Stay tuned for more episodes, and thank you for your support.
