We meet with a variety of guests to explore a piece of media that shaped them in some way and explore that influence as if it were a piece of great literature. Whether we are dealing with the seemingly inane or the deeply profound, we will try to get to the center of how we define ourselves and our values.     The Fast and the Furious (2001)

    Randy and Kris celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of The Fast and the Furious (2001) with a couple who have embraced the “Fast” franchise as a staple of their shared watch list. Liz Sherry and Andy Apperson are a research librarian and a high school history teacher who celebrate the franchise with an annual “fast” in which they rewatch all of the films to remember what it truly means to be family. In contrast, Randy has only seen the original film and Kris is a more seasoned, but less devout, member of the fandom. Together, the panel explores why this film packs such a nostalgic punch and why it has remained relevant for a quarter of a decade. Remember, it don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile.
