    In Baton Rouge LA,  A City Hall bathroom becomes a crime scene, Gypsy Rose Blanchard says her partner died of an overdose on his birthday, and Tennessee’s botched execution of Christa Pike leaves lawyers saying she may never recover.  Gypsy Rose Blanchard tells reporters she believes Ken Urker overdosed in Raceland, Louisiana, on his 34th birthday.     The Cornell 7: Inside the Chi Phi Frat House Case

    A 20-year-old Cornell student says she walked into a Chi Phi party on the night of October 19, 2024, and did not walk out the same. In a lawsuit filed nearly two years later, the woman identified only as Jane Doe alleges she was plied with alcohol and ketamine inside the fraternity house and sexually assaulted by seven members of the chapter while she was unable to consent. She reported the night to Cornell police weeks afterward. Tompkins County prosecutors reviewed her statement and closed the case without charges.     In this episode Jim Chapman looks into the police investigation into allegations of inappropriate relationships between a student-athlete at Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, and two teachers, Angela Burlaka and Haley Beck. The case began with the student telling his grandmother about the relationship, who then reports it to police after reviewing messages and videos.  Detectives identify and question Burlaka using phone records, social media, and searches of her classroom and home. Jim then covers the wider investigation into Beck, including interviews with witnesses who describe messaging, gifts, rides, and other contact between her and the student. Jim also uncovers Beck’s interview with police, her denial of a sexual relationship, and evidence recovered from her home.
