#30 - The Lee Carvallo's Definitive Simpsons Gaming Tier List

We started our journey playing every officially licensed Simpsons game with a "speculative" tier list, and we're ending our journey with the official, 100% correct "Lee Carvallo's Podding Challenge Definitive Simpsons Gaming Tier List." In all seriousness, this is simply our way to reflect on all of the terrible and great games we experienced over these past two years. We did our best to sort through these based on our enjoyment, but most importantly how well we think they represent The Simpsons as tie-in games. As for the podcast: Don't worry - we may have completed our original goal, but we're not done... yet. Be sure to listen in to see what we have in store for the future. -Derek's Other Projects- Gimmicks: Bluesky: ‪@gimmickspod.bsky.social‬Where to Listen: glitterjaw.com/gimmicksWalloping Websnappers: Bluesky: @wallopingwebpod.bsky.social‬Web: wallopingwebsnappers.comSkreeonk! #27 - The Simpsons Game Part II

What do Dance Dance Revolution, Medal of Honor, Futurama, Will Shakespeare, Hillary Clinton, Pokémon, ironic racism, Will Wright (creator of SimCity and The Sims) and God all have in common? If you guessed they all make cameos in 2007's The Simpsons Game ... you're wrong! They're actually integral plot elements, characters, or thematic backdrops for stages in what can only be described as the most self-referential, metatextual, and culturally aware Simpsons game to date. The Carvallo boys take a look at the last two-thirds of this game that lives and dies on it's awareness that it is a game. Plus, come with us on a nostalgic stroll through one of the best year's in gaming history. -Derek's Other Projects- Gimmicks: Bluesky: ‪@gimmickspod.bsky.social‬ Where to Listen: glitterjaw.com/gimmicks Walloping Websnappers: Bluesky: @wallopingwebpod.bsky.social‬ Web: wallopingwebsnappers.com Skreeonk!
