    My Miscarriage story

    WARNING before you listen: this episode I talk about my miscarriages, and it also contains mention of termination. If you feel like this would be distressing or upsetting for you, please use your discretion as to whether to listen to it or skip this one. In this episode I talk about my experiences of miscarriage, both around 14 years ago, but never gone from my mind. My second miscarriage was a prolonged experience of grieving before the actual loss of the pregnancy and was a life altering experience for me. I wanted to share as I didn't read or hear many stories like mine when I was going through it, as so I hope by sharing that it finds those who need to hear it and helps in them feeling less alone. For resources to support you through pregnancy loss in Australia you can contact Pink Elephants, Red Nose Grief and Loss, Miscarriage Australia have some resources, or reach out to a perinatal social worker, psychologist, or counsellor. You may be eligible for a Medicare referral to see specially trained social workers (like myself) or psychologists with a Non-Directive Pregnancy Support counselling referral if you are or have been pregnant in the past 12 months.     Why understanding becoming a mother as a rite of passage is so important
