How to Change Your Self Talk with Holistic Therapist Viorica Vanica

How do you talk to yourself? Do you say negative thoughts to yourself on a daily basis?  Are you aware that you do that?   We spoke about self talk for this week’s episode of the Weekend Wellness Hour Show with Viorica Vanica, co-founder of selftalk.space. Viorica is a holistic therapist who works with clients to change the way they speak to themselves on a daily basis.   Viorica began studying self talk as part of her personal development journey and looked at the mental training that Olympic athletes received. She explained how these athletes are trained in a self talk that boosts performance instead of one that tears them down.   We then looked at why negative self talk develops, which she explained begins in childhood. She described how children have an emotionally charged event when they’re very young and that leads them to create certain beliefs about themselves which they then match with a certain behavior as a coping mechanism.   Viorica then explained how we can begin to change our negative self talk. We went through the importance of being conscious while making these changes so it has a lasting impact on our mental health.   We also went through the three common categories of negative self talk and how to address them. Viorica then gave an example on how to work through an event during the day that triggers you so that you can free yourself from the past.   Viorica shared with us how she now works with clients by providing them a specialized self talk meditation. She works with founders of companies as well as other individuals to create a meditation that the person can play to help bring about a conscious change in their inner thoughts.   Please join us to learn how self talk your affects your energy, health and how you show up in the world.   Please feel free to  reach out to Viorica at https://www.selftalk.space/.   -Dr. Amy Novotny   Subscribe to PABR Institute's email list for free Tips for Relief: https://pabrinstitute.activehosted.com/f/1   www.pabrinstitute.com

This has helped him raise awareness of mobility as a human right.   He is currently working with Toyota for production of these little robotic cars for babies with disabilities but finds challenges with companies not wanting to take on the legal challenges of babies operating robots. Currently though, STEM programs around the country teach teenagers how to build these vehicles for children in need.   Dr Galloway is a professor at the University of Delaware and has a background of rehabilitation, neuroscience, child development, human-machine interaction and open-source culture.  His approach of combining high tech and low tech into “go tech” has garnered the interest, funding and awards from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Department of Education, and tech industries from medical to toy to auto.   Come learn about the importance of your environment in how your brain functions.  You don't want to miss this!     Please feel free to reach out to Dr. Cole Galloway at jacgallo@udel.edu or visit https://sites.udel.edu/gobabygo/.   -Dr. Amy Novotny   Subscribe to PABR Institute's email list for free Tips for Relief: https://pabrinstitute.activehosted.com/f/1   www.pabrinstitute.com
