    Yep, We're THOSE People! | Ep 146

You know those people who question the things, and ruin everyone's fun? Hi. It's us. This week on Living Well Together, we're tackling a topic that might ruffle a few feathers: Halloween! Why didn't we celebrate it with our girls? What does our faith have to do with it? And how did we end up with a house full of dress-up costumes anyway? We're chatting about traditions, biblical perspectives, the history behind Halloween, and what happens when your family's choices look a little different from everyone else's. And here's the thing: **We're not here to tell you what to believe or how to raise your family.** We're simply sharing what shaped our decisions, what we've learned along the way, and why we believe it's worth asking questions about the things we sometimes take for granted. Because living well together doesn't mean we all have to think alike. Of course, we also manage to wander into resurrection plants, some fascinating new European wellness formulas, our upcoming Miami adventure, and what happens when one of us leaves the other unattended. A little faith, a little fun, and a conversation straight from our hearts. We'd love to hear from you! Were there traditions your family approached differently? Have your thoughts changed over the years? Your Blood Work Isn't a Report Card | Ep 144

(And Other Things Worth Knowing at 44, 54 and beyond!) What blood tests should a woman have done at 44? That one little question turned into a BIG conversation! This week on Living Well Together, we're talking about why you don't have to wait until something feels wrong to start looking at what's happening inside your body. From blood sugar and cholesterol to thyroid function, hormones, and nutrient levels, we're breaking down some of the labs worth knowing about, especially as we move through our 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond. And of course, Terry has a few thoughts about where we spend our money, why "normal" doesn't always tell the whole story, and my new career as a wellness detective. Because here's something worth remembering: Your lab results aren't a report card. They're clues. And sometimes those clues can help you ask better questions long before your body starts waving a red flag. We're also chatting about the difference between conventional and functional lab interpretations, why establishing a baseline can be so valuable, and how to look at your health as one big, beautiful mosaic rather than a collection of numbers. Grab your coffee and join us for a little laughter, a little learning, and a fresh perspective on taking care of the one body you've been given. Living well starts with knowing well!  🔗 Resources Mentioned in This Episode Galleri Multi-Cancer Early Detection Test https://www.galleri.com A blood test designed to detect signals associated with more than 50 types of cancer. It's intended to complement, not replace, recommended cancer screenings. DUTCH Hormone Testing Schedule a complimentary consult to see if it's right for you: https://alivingwelllife.as.me/complimentaryconsult At-home dried urine testing that provides insights into hormone patterns, hormone metabolites, and cortisol activity. Understanding ApoB https://www.heart.org/en/health-topics/cholesterol/how-to-get-your-cholesterol-tested/apolipoprotein-b Learn more about this cardiovascular marker and how it can help assess heart health. Understanding Lipoprotein(a) https://www.heart.org/en/health-topics/cholesterol/genetic-conditions/lipoprotein-a Learn about this largely inherited cardiovascular risk factor and why it may be worth discussing with your healthcare provider. A Little Lab Clarification During this episode, we mention DUTCH hormone testing and its ability to provide additional insights into nutrient status. DUTCH testing includes functional markers, such as methylmalonic acid (MMA), that can offer clues about vitamin B12 status. However, it does not directly measure blood levels of B12 or vitamin D - because it is a urine test. For a more complete picture, vitamin B12 and 25-OH vitamin D can be evaluated through separate blood tests. And remember, not everyone needs every test! The best place to begin is with your personal health history, symptoms, risk factors, and a conversation with your healthcare provider. Because the goal isn't simply to collect more numbers. It's to better understand the story your body is telling. We love having you here! If you enjoyed this conversation, be sure to follow, subscribe, and share Living Well Together with someone who might enjoy it too! This podcast is for educational purposes and is not intended to replace individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. # Episode 144: Your Blood Work Isn't a Report Card (And Other Things Worth Knowing at 44!)

Wait, Why Do I Still Need ALL of This? | Ep 143

Have you ever opened your supplement cabinet and thought… wait, why do I still need ALL of this? This week, we’re talking about what it really means to supplement with intention — knowing what you’re taking, why you’re taking it, where ingredients may overlap, and when “more” definitely isn’t better. We’re also taking a closer look at six European botanical formulas we’re especially excited about right now — including support for omega-3s, brain health, digestion, mood, movement and immune health — and why thoughtfully combining nutrients may mean fewer bottles in the cabinet. Plus, we talk about food-based vs. synthetic nutrients, fat- vs. water-soluble vitamins, gut health and absorption, and why what your body needed five years ago may not be what it needs today. And because this is Living Well Together, we start somewhere completely different: Honey turned FOUR, Papaw had his first solo Honey day, and somehow it all leads us back to one of our favorite reminders… The clock is running, so let's make the marbles count. ✨ RINGANA early access begins October 1  ✨ Founder Bonus Packs are available at 30% off during enrollment  ✨ Interested in the wellness products — or the business behind them? Find the links below. Here’s to fewer bottles, more intention, and living these years really, really well. Ever Wish You Had the Inside Scoop on Something BIG? | Ep 142

Have you ever looked back at something and thought, “Oh my goodness, I wish I had known about that sooner!”? Whether it's a new technology, a wellness discovery, or an opportunity that could change the direction of your life, there's something exciting (and maybe a little scary!) about being among the first to say YES. In this episode of Living Well Together, Terry and Lisa are chatting about what it really means to be an early adopter, why curiosity and discernment go hand in hand, and how to recognize the difference between a shiny new distraction and something that genuinely aligns with your values. We're also sharing a little more about our personal journey with RINGANA, the European wellness company preparing to launch in the United States. From the questions we started asking back in January to the green lights that have brought us to this exciting new season, we're pulling back the curtain on what we've been learning, building, and dreaming about together. And how you can connect and be part of this U.S.A founding partners launch! And because it's us, you can expect a few detours involving Terry's impressive hat collection, our very different bedtime routines, and why he might just be the happiest luggage dragger around.  Here's what we're exploring: - Why being an early adopter doesn't mean being reckless. - How to recognize an opportunity that aligns with your values and lifestyle. - Why doing your homework matters more than following the hype. - What we know about RINGANA and its upcoming U.S. launch. - How education, community, and sharing what you love can open doors to new possibilities. Whether you're naturally curious about everything new or prefer to hang back and watch how things unfold, this conversation is an invitation to ask good questions, stay open to possibilities, and discover what might be waiting around the corner. Sometimes the most meaningful new beginnings start with three little words... “I'm curious. Tell me more!” 💜 Here for it!! Thanks for being part of our Living Well Together community! We'd love for you to subscribe, share this episode with a friend, and join us as we continue exploring what it means to live well, together.

Campfires, Zombie Cells & What We’re Doing Next | Ep.140

What do campfires, emergency preparedness, fresh skincare, botanical supplements, chiropractic, and a brand-new business adventure have in common? Just the first week of September at the McCoskey house.  In this episode of Living Well Together, Lisa and Terry are catching up on life lately... which means the conversation goes a few places. First up: their Labor Day campout, otherwise known as Camp Papasanonni. There are tents. There are s’mores. A slight resemblance to a shanty town. And somehow, it turns into a surprisingly useful conversation about being prepared when life doesn’t go according to plan. Clean water, flashlights, food, heat... and Terry’s tips to start a fire. Then things take a FRESH turn. Lisa and Terry share more about RINGANA, the 30-year-old European wellness company they’ve been exploring and the fresh philosophy that made them stop and think: Why are so many of our wellness products made to sit on a shelf for years? They talk about fresh manufacturing, botanical and whole-food formulations, topical wellness, metabolic and brain support, and why Lisa has been having so much fun learning about ingredients she’s never heard of, even after decades in the natural wellness world. And underneath all of it is a philosophy that has shaped so much of their work: Decrease toxicity + increase sufficiency = radiant wellness. Lisa’s officially trademarked equation... which Terry apparently just learned was officially trademarked. No biggie. They also talk about the business side of this new adventure, why financial wellness belongs in the living-well conversation, and what it feels like to be getting in early as RINGANA prepares to officially launch in the United States. Founding partner invitations go out October 1, 2026 - be sure to let them know if you'd like to receive one to be part of the US launch! Then customer ordering begins November 1! Lisa and Terry will also be hosting small, invitation-only FRESH Dates locally for people who want to come experience the products, ask questions, and see what all this FRESH talk is about. Be sure to ask about getting on the waitlist for these exclusive events! So yes, this episode goes from camping... to preparedness... to brain health... to skincare... to botanical supplements... to business. Just a normal week around here! And a brief peek into their swirly twirly brains!  Curious about the products, the business, or joining Lisa and Terry for a FRESH Date? Reach out. They’d love to share what they’re learning. And as always, like, subscribe, follow, and share Living Well Together with someone who might enjoy coming along for the conversation.

Are We Losing Our Humanity | Ep 139

We’ve never had more ways to make life easier. GPS tells us where to go. Our phones remember our numbers, appointments and passwords. Groceries show up at the door. Amazon can deliver almost anything overnight. AI can answer our questions or make YouTube cover photos. And we never really have to be bored anymore. But… is all that convenience costing us something? In this episode of Living Well Together: Big Life in a Small Town, Dr. Terry and Lisa wonder whether we may be accidentally outsourcing some of the very things that make us capable human beings. What happens when we stop memorizing things because our phones will remember them? When we follow GPS everywhere instead of learning how to get there? When every quiet moment gets filled with scrolling? When we text instead of call, order instead of go, and Google the answer before we’ve even tried to figure it out ourselves? And maybe the bigger question: What if a little friction is actually good for us? We’re talking about: • why your brain may benefit from occasionally turning off the GPS • what boredom and mind-wandering have to do with creativity • the difference between convenience and capability • why kids need opportunities to struggle, solve and figure things out • how we can communicate with hundreds of people while still feeling disconnected • why human connection matters to our health • the lost art of simply sitting still • and a few wonderfully old-fashioned skills we might want to bring back We’re definitely not giving up Amazon, smartphones or modern life. But maybe living well isn’t about rejecting convenience. Maybe it’s about making sure convenience doesn’t replace the things we still want to be able to do for ourselves. So here’s our question for you: What little inconvenience would you intentionally put back into your life? Drive somewhere without GPS? Call instead of text? Cook without a recipe? Memorize a phone number? Sit on the porch and do absolutely nothing? Let's hear it! Pop it in the comments for some ideas!  And if you enjoy these conversations, LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE Living Well Together: Big Life in a Small Town with somebody you’d love to sit on the porch and talk about life with.
