Turn Around: The Fruit of Repentance - Luke 3:1-22

In this episode, Tyler Smith, College Leader of Zeteo at Northcrest Baptist Church, teaches from Luke 3 on the message of John the Baptist and the call to Turn Around. Repentance isn’t just “trying to be better.” It’s a complete 180—a turning away from sin and self, and turning toward God in faith. Like John’s audience, we’re reminded that salvation isn’t found in family heritage, church attendance, or good works—it’s found only in repentance and faith in Christ. We’ll explore together: What repentance really means (and what it doesn’t) How true repentance produces fruit in our lives Why baptism is an outward sign of an inward change The sobering truth of judgment for those who refuse to turn back to God John’s message is as urgent now as it was then: God calls us to stop walking the wrong way, admit our need for Him, and receive His forgiveness through Christ. Repentance is costly—it takes humility, surrender, and change—but it leads to life, hope, and eternal joy.

    Responding to God's Promise - Luke 1:5-38

In this episode, Tyler Smith, College Leader of Zeteo at Northcrest Baptist Church, walks through Luke 1:5–38 and the powerful theme of Responding to God’s Promise. We see two very different responses to God’s message: Zechariah, a seasoned priest who doubts, and Mary, a humble young woman who believes. Their stories challenge us to examine our own hearts—are we skeptics shaped by pride and familiarity, or servants ready to say, “I believe, Lord—how can I obey?” Together, we’ll explore: The difference between investigation and skepticism How pride and familiarity can blind us to God’s power Why God’s promises are not only true but also life-changing From answered prayers to miraculous births, this passage reminds us that nothing is impossible with God. Whether you’re wrestling with doubt or searching for deeper faith, this message invites you to trust boldly in the promises of Christ and step into a life of obedience.

    Without a Doubt - Luke 1:1-4

In this episode, we launch our study through the Gospel of Luke by looking at Luke 1:1–4. Luke, a physician and companion of Paul, carefully investigated the life of Jesus and wrote with one purpose: to give certainty to those who doubt. Many of us, like Theophilus—the original recipient of Luke’s letter—struggle with questions about faith, truth, and belonging. We’ll explore: Is it okay to have doubt? Can I be sure the Bible is true? How can this study impact my life today? Through Scripture, stories, and honest reflection, this episode reminds us that faith is not blind, but rooted in real evidence and the unshakable truth of the Gospel. Whether you’re wrestling with questions or longing for deeper confidence in your faith, this journey through Luke will help you discover the beauty and certainty of Jesus Christ.
