    "All In" with Special Guest Charlene Baktamarian

    On this episode of The Vision TV Show, Destiny Yarbrough joins Pastor Tracey Armstrong, Day Gardner, Pastor LeaAnn Pendergrass and Pastor Jearlyn Dennie in welcoming Charlene Baktamarian, founder of God's View TV Shows and president of Spirit of the Lord Ministries. An apostolic and prophetic minister, artist, author and broadcaster, Charlene celebrates receiving an Angel Award after 19 years of nominations. She and the hosts emphasize that Christian ministries should support rather than compete with one another. Charlene says her lifelong answer to what she wanted to become was simply that she wanted to help people. That calling drives her to remain available until everyone seeking prayer has received personal ministry. She believes apostolic and prophetic prayer can establish something meaningful and stresses speaking Scripture. Declaring God's Word, she says, gives the Holy Spirit something to breathe upon and redirects her toward destiny. Her commitment to helping others shaped her work in television. She and her husband faced ridicule and enormous financial risk, but moved ahead in faith. A call to the Federal Communications Commission unexpectedly connected her with a decision-maker who directed her to a world-class engineer. Within six months, the network, licenses and towers were in place—an accomplishment she describes as a miracle made possible by obeying God's instruction before every resource was visible. Asked how she distinguishes God's voice from her own ideas, Charlene describes an inner knowing accompanied by peace, personal confirmation and an ongoing relationship with God. She advises newer believers to seek confirmation rather than rushing ahead. She also recalls a time when fear made her believe God had forbidden a property purchase, but His clearer direction exposed the anxiety and led to land that became a blessing. Her forthcoming book, When Life Has You Running, draws on one of her horse paintings and challenges readers to choose whether they will give up, give in or give life everything they have.     Ministry through Music with Special Guest Billy Gaines

    On this episode of The Vision TV Show, Day Gardner joins Pastor Jearlyn Dennie, Destiny Yarbrough and Pastor LeaAnn Pendergrass in welcoming Billy Gaines, a two-time Dove Award-winning gospel recording artist, songwriter, speaker and minister whose Christian music career spans more than four decades. Gaines shares how his love of singing began in Richmond, Virginia, where his mother first noticed his voice as he sang along with Ray Charles on the radio. His strongest early musical foundation, however, came from singing hymns beside his mother at the piano. Gaines explains that gospel music was not merely a career choice but a calling. After becoming a Christian at age 16, he asked God what to do with his life and felt directed toward music. Rather than describing himself as a traditional preacher, he views each song as a three-minute sermon—an opportunity to communicate biblical truth clearly and repeatedly. His songwriting grows from personal experience interpreted through Scripture, while his concerts begin with prayer, humility and a desire for God's presence to accomplish more than talent alone could achieve. Offering guidance to aspiring artists, Gaines urges them to begin with genuine dedication and a clear sense of calling. Success, he says, means little if a person succeeds at something God never assigned. He encourages musicians to seek divine direction instead of relying solely on their own plans. He also discusses his work with his late wife, Sarah, as Billy and Sarah Gaines. As Black artists in the inspirational gospel market, they helped open doors for others. When asked whom Benson Records should sign, he immediately recommended Commissioned, whose members included Fred Hammond. Gaines says his next release will be grounded in the cross and the blood of Jesus, themes he believes contemporary Christian music needs to proclaim directly. Rachelle Fletcher shares a song written with her daughter about freedom from fear, pain and shame through Jesus. Rachelle reflects on becoming a pastor’s wife and co-pastor at only 26, when she and her husband pioneered churches and served local communities with very limited resources. When families came to them needing food, toys, utility assistance and other practical help, the couple committed to giving whatever was in their hands and connecting people with others who could meet the need. That commitment eventually became The Goodness Project, an outreach that has helped steward millions of dollars in resources, supported more than 1,000 charities and opened doors for people in crisis to experience the love of Christ. Rachelle emphasizes that assistance should never be treated merely as a transaction. Meeting a need builds a relationship, creates an opportunity to share the gospel and demonstrates the goodness of God in a tangible way. The discussion turns to Rachelle’s work through The Gathering for Women, where she encourages women to reject limiting labels, understand their identity and step confidently into their callings.
