    Quiz winners in Marbella and Vamos Espana!

    Welcome to Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly Marbella lifestyle podcast about real life in Spain. It is brought to you by married expat couple PJ Lopez and Hannah Murray who also run the popular English guide to San Pedro de Alcantara (@sanpedromarbellaguide). You can follow them on @pjlopez1marbella, @radiohannah or @marbella_with_him_and_her Each week they bring you updates from their busy lives in and around Marbella, mixed with some discussion about some interviews Hannah did on her radio show at Talk Radio Europe, general items that are in the news, food, and much more. This week they start with a mention to their friend Peter Bennett who came to the rescue when Hannah's shoes broke during Aoife's birthday party last week. They forgot to mention last week about his outstanding cobbler skills! Hannah provides an update on a tragic story about the recent Almeria wildfires. Wednesday was a very busy evening as straight from work they headed to see the International Theatre Studio's production of ‘The Regina Monologues’. Listen to find out what they thought. Afterwards they dashed to the car and headed to the Hogan Stand to watch the semi-final of the World Cup England against Argentina. We all know how that turned out! Thursday was the weekly Hogan Stand Quiz, which is a great social occasion for local residents and visitors to San Pedro. PJ's team were all sick, so he joined Hannah's dad's team. Listen to see how they got on. Friday Hannah had her regular catch up with Charlotte Rodriguez who is the owner of the wine wholesale business Cervinco. They have become great friends as she is a regular contributor to Hannah's radio show. They met for lunch at one of their favourite chringuitos in San Pedro called Kala Kalua where they had a lovely afternoon eating great food, drinking great wine and having a lovely chat. Saturday morning Hannah and Nicole from Good Morning Spain were invited to do a yoga class at the Hard Rock Hotel, after which PJ and Hannah went to Remy's in San Pedro for Eggs Benedict. Hannah's interview highlights included her chat with Lesley Spellman of the Declutter Hub, a chat with her regular contributors Be Spain Savvy and Dr William Supple Jr about his book 'The Sunlight Solution'.     La Sala by the Sea in Marbella, and fires in southern Spain

    They are back with the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her. For newcomers to the Marbella podcast, they are PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) and each week they record a podcast about their lives in San Pedro de Alcantara and Marbella. From things they have done, eaten, seen, heard and discussed, it is an eclectic mix of ‘husband and wife’ banter, important information and general life experiences. This week they start with their BBQ on which they cooked a fish they had never eaten before called Pez Limon. Listen to see what they did with it and what they thought of it. On Sunday they headed to the famous La Sala by Sea beach club in Puerto Banus for a day relaxing around the pool, drinking wine and eating fabulous food. They share their experience and interesting observations! Hannah always shares some highlights of some memorable or poignant interviews that she did on Talk Radio Europe during the week. This week’s include a chat with Neal Toplis of Funeral Care Spain. There is some very important information about what to do if someone passes away in Spain and sadly the people that are ready to take advantage of the vulnerable situation many find themselves in. Listen for some essential tips on what to do and what not to do if you ever find yourself in this situation. Another chat Hannah had was with her regular contributors Be Spain Savvy. This time they spoke about being able to pass off the things that might annoy you in Spain as being just a part of the culture which is different to what you might be used to. Some of the interviews Hannah did for her book show included one with Mark Billingham who is an award-winning crime author who was awarded the Diamond Dagger in January 2026. It is about a real-life situation that happened to him and his wife while out walking their dog.  It became the start of his most recent book, although it had a very different outcome the actual event. Hannah also interviewed an inspirational 97 year old woman called Cynthia Schumacher who had just published her debut short story collection. She also interviewd another best-selling author Cecelia Ahern about her first Children's book. They give an update on the opening of The Art Bakery San Pedro. They also mention some of the other breakfast items on the menu and the prices. PJ and Hannah talk about many different subjects which are mostly light-hearted and fun, but a segment in this week's podcast was about the number of high-profile deaths there had been during the week, plus they send their condolences to the family and friends of the poor your Norwegian girl that was killed in a hit and run accident in La Cala de Mijas. In addition, they give out some obvious advice to young girls that might be partying while on holiday. There is an update about the wildfires that have ravaged parts of Estepona and Almeria and an app that ALL residents and tourists should download during the summer season so they receive alerts if there is a wildfire in their immediate vicinity. There are also more updates about their week including watching the Spain game in the fan zone in San Pedro before heading to the Hogan Stand for the second half, their friend Aoife's birthday at the Hogan Stand, and watching the England game at The Hogan Stand.     Remy in Marbella, The World Cup, & concert updates

    Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, the lifestyle Marbella podcast presented by expat couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). This week they start by chatting about their first visit to the sales at La Cañada this month and El Corte Ingles where Hannah managed to find two new bikinis. There is a positive update on the will situation with Thy Will be Done! On Monday evening they were invited to Remy Restaurant in San Pedro to sample their new evening menu. They took friends Aoife and Meadhbh who have lived in Asia and love Asian food. They were not disappointed as the food was another level. They had popcorn prawns, chicken spring rolls, beef short rib, miso glazed black cod and more. They read out some more of the dishes and also the amazing prices. During the week they headed to The Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand) to watch England take on DR Congo in the last 32 of the World Cup. Listen to see how they got on. As usual there are a few food updates with what they cooked or made during the week for dinners. Hannah also has some fitness updates which has left her a little bit achier than normal. Some of Hannah's TRE interview highlights this week include her entrepreneur of the week Lucy Cohen who set up an online accountancy firm which has become a multi-million-pound company. She also chatted to Poppy Jamie about her book called The Book of Magical Living and how similar their mothers were. Another interview was with a mother and son Sam and Max Marcham about porn and masturbation and their book Porn Bomb. It was a book about online pornography and how young people's first perception of sex is often what they see online. She also chatted to Katrina Wood about her father Percy Herbert who was a prisoner of war in a Japanese camp and how he narrowly avoided being a victim of the Alexandra Hospital Massacre. They have a moan about the increasing cost of going to see a concert at The Starlite festival in Marbella, an update on the Robbie Williams concert in Seville and the re-launch of The Gibraltar Music Festival. Hannah reads out some local business updates including the Bookshop in San Pedro's book club, Pilates at Ocean Club and more. There is a shout out to The Pie Bar in Estepona where Hannah bought three sausages for Sunday breakfast. She also chatted to them about her quiz, mutual friends and their silent disco. This week’s stories for The Euro Weekly News included Spain bracing for more heatwaves, a new clothing air con system and communal pool usage.

    Dolphins, and a new Marbella Beach Bar!

    Welcome to episode 120 of Marbella's popular lifestyle podcast Marbella with Him & Her presented by expat married couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). Each week they bring updates on the town of San Pedro de Alcantara in Marbella, where they live as well as information about their lives in Spain, interviews that Hannah has done on her radio show for Talk Radio Europe, places that have opened, food and lots more. This week Hannah starts with some of the interviews she did on her radio show starting with the entrepreneur of the week Tom Abbey who set up an interesting company called Vamoosh, which have products that literally dissolve pet hair that is stuck to clothing or fabrics. She also speaks about her weekly chat with Be Spain Savvy who run a great Facebook page that has lots of very useful information about life in Spain and living in Spain. She also spoke to an amazing guy called Myles Lant who has made dozens of trips to Ukraine with important supplies for the people ad children who are constantly under siege. Her final highlight was an interview she did with Thomas Mullaney about his book a personal history of information and what happens to all those items and memories after death. There is the usual update about Hannah's Pilates journey at Studio34 which this week left her shaking. Listen to find out why. They both give an update on their trip to the notary to get their wills finalised and a shock they had when collecting them. On Saturday they went to spend the day at a new beach chiringuito called Solo Beach in San Pedro. They had some great things to say about the place and give information on the bed prices and what is included. While they were there they were also thrilled to see some dolphins not far from shore. PJ put a post on the San Pedro Guide Instagram page about Solo Beach which to date has had over 22,000 views, 181 likes and 40 shares. They also discuss the clocks going back in Morocco to match GMT, updates to security checks at Malaga Airport and the first Lidl pub that opened in Belfast.

    From Marbella to Toledo to Nerja...all in a week!

    It is the latest episode of the popular Marbella lifestyle podcast Marbella with Him & Her presented by the expat couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah) who live in San Pedro de Alcantara in Marbella. They have been married for nearly 10 years having met on the Costa del Sol and have a passion for food, friends and quizzing. Hannah is a radio presenter on Talk Radio Europe as well as a TV presenter on Good Morning Spain, while PJ is a digital marketing director. Each episode they talk about their busy lives in Marbella and this week has been a super busy week, not just in Marbella but other parts of Spain as well. Having recorded the podcast earlier last week on Saturday, Sunday morning they were in the car by 9.30am and driving through the country to Toledo for a wedding. After a 6 hour journey they arrived at their hotel. Listen to hear about the wedding BBQ on Sunday and the wedding reception on Monday, both at the amazing venue Cigarral de las Mercedes. They talk about visiting the city of Toledo, the BBQ and the amazing wedding which involved traditional Ukrainian elements as well as traditional English. Hannah talks about the Irish students that are getting some work experience at the radio station and the lovely gifts they bought over from Ireland. She also chats about a couple of Instagram memes she has done during the week in a bid to remain relevant and on trend! They both have a bit of a moan about their trip to the Spanish notary. Listen to find out why and what happened. Hannah also raves again about the amazing deal she got at Marbella Beauty Academy and how you can go about booking them yourselves. On Friday it was another trip for PJ and Hannah as they headed up the coast east of Malaga to Nerja. Originally it was to see Chambao in concert on the Friday but a week before the festival it was cancelled. They still headed off though and did a tapas crawl instead on the Friday and filmed a short video of where they ate, which has done very well on social media. On the Saturday they had booked a tasting menu in a Peruvian restaurant called Origen, which they absolutely loved. They go into more detail about the restaurant and the amazing food on the podcast.     Coleen Rooney in Marbella, and LOADS of new openings!

    As we head into the literal half point of the year, we are excited to bring you the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your weekly podcast about Marbella, San Pedro de Alcantara and more. This week we speak about Coleen Rooney in San Pedro, Go Henry, The FTD Brothers, La Sala by the Sea and so much more. Your presenters of Marbella with Him & Her are PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). In case this is your first time listening, they are an expat couple that live in San Pedro de Alcantara, Marbella who also run the popular San Pedro Guide. PJ is a marketing director, and Hannah is a radio and tv presenter. They speak each week about the many things going on in and around Marbella and the local area, with occasional information on other parts of Spain and the UK. This week they start with their trip to Benahavis for the annual International Theatre Studio (ITS) Lark in the Park, an event that invloves a picnic, a theatre production and musical entertainment. Most previous years both Hannah and PJ have been involved in one way or another, but this year they were pleased to sit back and enjoy the event at spectators. Listen to hear more about the event and performances. Hannah did her weekly Pilates on Monday, as she had a lunch date with a friend on Friday, but that meant she missed doing the session alongside Coleen Rooney who was at Studio 34. Instead of Pilates Hannah was at La Sala by the Sea with a friend enjoying a lovely Thai platter. She updates us on the revamp of the beach club and the fun vibe and atmosphere. Some of Hannah's interview highlights this week from her Talk Radio Europe show included the entrepreneur of the week, Louise Hill who was on the India trip they did with The Sisterhood last year and who founded the successful children's debit card Go Henry. She also chatted to Julie Talbot who is 'Worldschooling' her children. The other highlight was a heartwarming and heart breaking chat she had one a young lad called Jordan Adams who is one half of the FTD Brothers, who both have inherited a gene that means they have a 99.9% chance of getting the same type of dementia that has already taken a number of their family members. Listen to hear more about their charity raising in aid of the condition. They both went to Remy this week for eggs Benedict, although Hannah had been earlier in the week too for her weekly brunch with her dad. They popped out for drinks with Aoife and Meadhbh to The Hogan Stand before heading across the road for Chinese at Nuevo Siglo. At the weekend they also went for a chat with the owners of Cilantro in San Pedro who have just opened a Lebanese restaurant section in their establishment. They have updates on more new openings in San Pedro too!     Marbella Charity Galas and Cirque du Soleil in Malaga

    Welcome to Marbella with Him & Her, a Marbella expat Podcast presented by PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). In this week's episode Hannah gives an update on her fitness classes and there is also an update on Red Wine Gate! They talk about watching the series Dear England about Gareth Southgate and how good it was, especially the likeness to Gareth played by Joseph Fiennes from his mannerisms to his voice. Interview highlights from Hannah this week on her radio show included her entrepreneur of the week, Jo Living, who talked about her company Aces High, which was born as a result of a poker win she had in Morocco. She also interviewed the lovely Andrea McLean who was one of the longest serving hosts of the UK TV series Loose Women. She was talking about her new book Shameless.  They had an extremely busy weekend starting with the Collective Calling Gala dinner at a beautiful setting in El Paraiso called Cortojo de Cortes, which included some wonderful oysters they had thanks to The Fisherman's Daughter. Their good friend Percy was the MC for the evening, and they sat at his table for the dinner. Then on Saturday they headed off to Malaga to see Cirque du Soleil perform their latest offering called Kurios.  Hannah mentions some events that are coming up at venues like Cascada Restaurant in Marbella and their international chef night and information on the Age Concern Book Club. PJ also talked about the Marbella Feria which is next week. Hannah mentioned more rather strange coincidences about the number 555.     Leonardo Di Caprio in Marbella, and Hannah in Seville

    Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, a weekly Podcast created and presented by Marbella couple PJ Lopez (@pjlopez1marbella) and Hannah Murray (@radiohannah). If you are new to the podcast, PJ is a marketing expert and Hannah is a radio and tv presenter in Marbella, and they both have a passion for food and socialising. In this week's episode they start by welcoming Amber Chou to their San Pedro Guide, which they set up nearly a decade ago to keep the English speaking community updated with San Pedro news. Due to its popularity, they now also have a system for local businesses to pay a small annual fee for monthly posts on the Instagram and Facebook social media accounts. They also talk about a Marbella social media meme trend involving AI images of Leonardo di Caprio in different locations around Marbella. The one on the San Pedro Guide of him standing outside The Hogan Stand in San Pedro sort of went viral! Some interview highlights this week from Hannah's radio show on Talk Radio Europe included one with a lady called Kate Wilson who is the founder of a children's publishing house called Nosy Crow and who are holding their own alongside the large publishers. Hannah also did another interview with actress Susan George, but this time about her acting career starring alongside greats like Dustin Hoffman. She asked Hannah for a copy of the interview as she said things that she had never said before thanks to Hannah's great interview style. Another fun interview was with comedian Iain Lee who spoke about his stand-up shows in people's houses. Fiona from International Theatre Studio went in for a chat with Hannah about the upcoming annual event at the park in Benahavis called Lark in The Park. She went in with one of the coasts top singers Paul Hull. Listen for more information. Her final interview highlight was with a fantastic man called Harry Heasdon who at the age of 98 became a Guinness World Record breaker thanks to a wing walk, making him the oldest man to do so. They also chat about European football finals, including PJ's team Crystal Palace who won the European Conference League final, and also Arsenal in the Champions League final. On Friday, PJ had some colleagues from work over for dinner so he speaks about juggling work, buying ingredients, cooking and cleaning. Meanwhile Hannah had taken off to Seville with some girlfriends for a weekend away. Listen to hear more about their antics from sherry tasting to rooftop drinking. Upon her return they chat about a welcome drink of Hugo Spritz (PJ has some info about its origins, of course). Hannah speaks sadly and very fondly of a singer that passed away suddenly during the week who was part of a trio called the Rat Pack. He was the Frank Sinatra of the group who have played most top venues on the coast. She has some fabulous memories that she shares so listen out for those. One of the auction items is the very generous donation that Hannah and PJ's friends Steph and Frank gave them to give to a charity auction, a pair of boxing shorts singed by boxing legends Casius Clay (aka Mohamed Ali) and Mike Tyson.
