    Until the Spirit ComesText: Isaiah 32:15-17 (nkjv)“Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.”IntroductionI wholeheartedly believe that the solution to the deep problems we face in our homes, communities, and nation is not found first in politics, policies, or programs but in spiritual awakening. When hearts are transformed by the Holy Spirit, lives change. When lives change, families are restored. When families are restored, communities are strengthened. True and lasting change always flows from God’s Spirit at work in people.Isaiah paints a picture of a broken society. Corrupt leadership. Moral decay. Empty religion. People trusting in comfort rather than God.     What will never be taken away | Pastor Jaison Koshy

    The better choice(Luke 10:38-42; John 11:25-27)Continuing from what we heard and learned from this Sunday’s teaching, I have been reflecting on the difference between doing what is good and choosing what is better.There is a difference between doing good things and choosing the best thing.Martha loved Jesus. Her desire to serve Him was sincere, and there was nothing wrong with serving. Yet, in the middle of her preparations, she became distracted and overwhelmed. Mary, on the other hand, simply sat at Jesus’ feet and listened. Looking at the two sisters, Jesus said that Mary had chosen the better part.Jesus was not diminishing service. He was establishing a priority. Before we can effectively serve Him, we must first spend time with Him.This lesson becomes even more meaningful when we meet Martha again in John 11. Her brother Lazarus had died, and grief filled her heart. Standing before the tomb, Jesus declared, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25). Then He asked Martha, “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26).Jesus wasn’t simply asking Martha if she believed His words intellectually. He was inviting her to place her complete trust in Him. We can only fully believe the One with whom we consistently spend time. Faith grows as we sit under His Word, listen to His voice, and allow His truth to shape our hearts. The more we remain at His feet, the more confident we become in His promises.The faith Martha needed in that painful moment did not begin at the tomb. Faith is formed long before the crisis. It grows in the quiet moments of fellowship with Christ. Every time we choose His presence over our busyness, we are preparing our hearts for the challenges that will inevitably come.The same is true for us. Trials reveal what has been built in the secret place. If our days are filled with activity, even good activity, while neglecting time with Jesus, we may discover that our faith is shallow when life becomes difficult. But those who have learned to abide in Him find a strength that circumstances cannot take away.Every day presents us with a choice. We can become consumed with what needs to be done, or we can first give our attention to the One who gives us strength to do it. The better choice is always His presence.May we never become so busy serving Jesus that we neglect sitting with Him. Time at His feet is never wasted.
