    10. Write Emails Your Audience Can’t Ignore, A Live Email Audit

Ever opened an email only to instantly delete it? Ever skimmed an email and found nothing worth reading so you X right on out. Of course, you have! As a marketer, I read emails with a different lens. I’m constantly in audit mode, asking: Why did this catch my attention? What made me want to click? Why does this feel engaging, while another email feels like white noise? In today’s episode, I’m taking you inside my brain as I audit a sales email from an established agency. Spoiler: it’s not terrible, but it’s generic and blends into the other emails in your inbox. And the biggest killer of conversions isn’t people saying “no”, it’s indifference or a lack of interest. I’ll break down what the email did well, where it fell flat, and how small, strategic tweaks could have transformed it into a conversion powerhouse. Whether you’re working on getting better at email marketing or messaging in general this episode is packed with actionable takeaways you can apply today. Walk away with: The simple copy tweak instantly makes your emails feel more personal and connected to the reader. Why words like “exclusive” and “game-changing” reduce your credibility (and what to say instead). The #1 mistake in most marketing emails—and how to avoid it. How to create deeper connection through your copy. The importance of specificity in your messaging and how to use it to convert readers into buyers.
