    2XM.IKA ELECTROLYTE Demo album

    Oh, this summer has been so inspirational, and busy, yet very relaxing. Over the course of some weeks, touring Europe, but especially spending “salty” days in my haven at Orust, I have been working on a bunch of songs of which I have chosen 11 (+ an intro) as part of the ELECTROLYTE demo album. Since my early days, I have been mesmerized by electronic music, myself being part of/co-founding bands, then gone silent for more than a decade… Over the past few years, I have had sparkles of inspiration, and now lately putting a good effort behind creating the ELECTROLYTE demo. Two of the songs have a short dedication to DEPECHE MODE, and most of the songs and tunes probably give away some other sources of inspiration in the electronic/EBM genre. The summer of inspiration, like an electrolyte, has given me a lot of energy, wonderful thoughts and moments, and then I feel fortunate to have the creativity and time to make some new songs. It has been fun, and let’s see what the future brings! I also highly value the various encounters with old friends from Trollhättan, that also have made me navigate in this direction to go creative again. Enjoy!     #2: Robert's Hand - The Past, Present and Future of EBM/Electronic Music

    …well, I just decided to call this the ‘Robert’s hand”* episode… A great chat, someway reminding of the many talks in private between Robert and myself, whether before/during/after concerts in various places in Sweden, but now we decided to record one episode about EBM and electronic music - both on our own influences from the early days with Depeche Mode and the likes, to our own bands (and Robert is going strong with Dpoint still these days!!!). But this is also a story about the roots from Trollhättan, how the electronic music hit our hearts & minds, and where is music creation heading? This was a floating discussion over so much, not just a deep dive into bass drum rhythms for the whole time… :) CREATIVITY DOES NOT HAVE BARRIERS —————— *Dpoint have great own songs, but they have also a fabulous cover version of a well-known Fad Gadget song… /2XM.IKA This is a public episode.     French nouvelle vague movies took a grip on me ages ago, and I still return to both re-watch movies and to discover new pearls. Here is an hommage to Claude Chabrol’s “Les Cousins”, and the monologue scene in the apartment is a true gem, here my humble interpretation (that also can be found on my EP A Better/Lesser Man). /2XM.ika This is a public episode.     MTV is back...!

    Music Television in the 80s…those were the times (for some)… Well, here is a rough and minimalistic demo version of my new song “Hard Sell”.
