    Let's be for real

    As a business owner, you will be told that it's important to find your ideal customer. Niche down and work with them because that positions you as the expert. It helps you make more money. All of these things are true, but one thing people fail to mention is that business is never really smooth sailing. There are times when you're not going to have anybody to work with, including your ideal customers. What do you do? You have a service to offer, no money coming through, and the wrong profile of clients requires your service. How do you survive in that situation? There is the ideal situation where you work with your ideal preferred customers, but realistically, as a small business, it's not always going to be like that. Let's be real: what do we do in those situations?

    With or without you energy is the point in your business where you are not desperate for business or revenue. With or without certain clients, you will be fine. And, that is because you are oversubscribed; you have a lot of people lining up to do business with you. Getting to this point means you do not have to take on terrible clients; clients who don't value your work, clients who are cheap but demand the most.

    There are statistics that show that the faster you respond to a potential client, the higher your chances of converting them to actual clients. Money loves speed and if you are going to make more money as an entrepreneur you have to improve on how quickly you respond to people in need of your service. Your competitors who probably don't do as good a job as you, are taking potential customers from you because they respond faster than you.
