EP 28 | The Weight of Grief

Send us Fan Mail This episode of KoKo’s World is one of the most vulnerable and difficult conversations I’ve ever had to share. Grief has a way of changing everything… how you breathe, how you think, how you move through the world. And in this episode, I’m opening up about what that has truly looked like for me. Since January 2026, I’ve experienced multiple losses within my family, April 1st, I lost a piece of my heart, my grandmother. If you know me then you know she wasn’t a typical Grandmother, She was our Matriarch, foundation and heartbeat. To Me, she was my world. And Recently our Ava Rose passed on May 28th. Grief has not been something distant for me, it has been constant, layered, and deeply personal. In this episode, I don’t try to “fix” grief. Because grief isn’t something to be fixed. Instead, I talk about what it means to sit in it. To feel it fully. To stop running from the heaviness. To understand that the weight we carry is not just pain, it is love. It is a memory. It is connection. It is proof that what we lost mattered deeply. If you are grieving someone you love, grieving a relationship, grieving a life you thought you would have, or simply trying to find yourself again after loss, this conversation is for you. My hope is that this episode reminds you that you are not alone in your grief… and that it’s okay to feel everything you’re feeling. Healing doesn’t come from avoiding grief. It comes from learning how to carry it. Thank you for being here, for listening, and for holding space with me through one of the heaviest seasons of my life. 🤍 Remember to love yourself, give yourself grace, and allow yourself to feel. #KoKosWorld #TheWeightOfGrief #GriefJourney #MentalHealthAwareness #HealingOutLoud #GriefSupport #YouAreNotAlone #Podcast 🎧 Sponsored by MJW Photo Studio Professional headshots and personal branding photography for creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals. 📸 Website: www.MJWPhotoclt.com 🌿 Sponsored by MaryRuth’s Clean, vegan, easy-to-digest vitamins that support whole-body wellness. 🛒 Shop here: https://www.maryruthorganics.com 💸 Save 20% with code: KARLYSTOKES 💃 Sponsored by Studio KueFit Empowering movement, confidence, and strength through dance and fitness. EP 24 | Claiming The Room

Send us Fan Mail In this episode of Koko’s World, Karly Stokes explores the quiet ways women are taught to shrink themselves in leadership, relationships, and everyday spaces. Through personal stories from her own experiences in leadership and executive environments, she unpacks why so many women feel pressure to stay small and how that conditioning shows up in our lives. But claiming the room isn’t about being loud, dominating, or arrogant. It’s about taking up space unapologetically, speaking clearly without over-explaining, and knowing your value before you ever open your mouth. Inspired by the ideas behind The 48 Laws of Power, Karly shares five powerful laws for women who are ready to step fully into their authority: Regulate first – pause before reacting emotionallyStick to the truth – clear, direct communicationMaintain direct eye contactUse confident body languageUnderstand that silence is powerBecause when you shrink yourself, you teach people how to treat you. But when you claim the room, you set the standard for the respect you deserve. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or invisible in spaces you worked hard to enter, this episode is for you. #KokosWorld #ClaimTheRoom #WomenEmpowerment #Confidence #WomenInLeadership Journal prompts from this episode: Write down three ways you’ve been showing yourself love recently.Where in your life do you still feel pressure to be “agreeable” or easy to digest?
