Ep 74 - Stress + Nourishment: What Are You Feeding Yourself? (Mini-Series Part 2 of 3)

We're in the middle of something really special. This episode is Part Two of my three-part mini-series going deep on each pillar of my 2026 wellness plan — and if you haven't listened to Part One on Movement and Sleep yet, I'd love for you to start there first. Today we're covering Pillars Three and Four: Stress and Nourishment. And I paired these two deliberately, because once you hear the thread that connects them, I think it's going to change the way you think about both. ✨ In This Episode Why stress hits so differently in perimenopause and menopause — and what's actually happening in your nervous system when the load starts to feel unmanageableEnergetic consumption: what you're letting in beyond food, and why getting intentional about it is one of the most powerful things you can do for your stress right nowThe small, scattered regulation anchors that have made more difference to my nervous system than almost anything elseWhat true nourishment actually means — and why joy is not a luxury, it's a nutrientHow I think about food in terms of inflammation rather than restriction, and the shifts that have genuinely made a difference for my body in this season 🧡 Gentle Invitation If you're local to Numurkah, the Luminous Women's Circle is happening on the 21st of June — a beautiful, intimate space with limited spots. Ep 73 - Movement + Sleep: The Physical Foundations (Mini-Series Part 1 of 3)

This episode is the beginning of something really special. After such a beautiful response to my 2026 wellness plan episode, I knew I wanted to go deeper — and so this three-part mini-series was born.  Part One goes into the real depth behind the two physical foundations that underpin everything else: movement and sleep. If you've ever felt like your body has its own complicated story, or like sleep is something that happens to other people, this one is going to land for you. In this episode: Why my relationship with movement has always been layered — and how a diagnosis at forty-two changed the story I had been telling myself for decadesThe Movement Menu: what it is, how it works, and why removing the binary of success and failure might be the most important shift you make this yearWhy gentle, consistent movement matters so much for your nervous system during perimenopause and menopause — and why intensity isn't always the answerWhat's actually happening in your body when sleep becomes disrupted in this season of life, and why this is biology, not a personal failingA real, honest look at what a sustainable wind-down practice can look like — imperfect, flexible, and genuinely yours GENTLE INVITATION If this episode has you thinking about your own body, your own rhythms, and what it might feel like to build a wellness practice that's truly designed around your real life, Shimmer might be exactly what you're looking for. It's my one-on-one coaching space where we build something that actually works for you — not a template, not someone else's plan, but something genuinely yours. Ep 72 - What Week 10 Feels Like: A Dispatch from Inside Season of Her™

This week’s episode is a little different. Instead of sharing a framework or practical tools, I’m taking you behind the scenes of what I’m witnessing inside Week 10 of the current live round of Season of Her™. There’s something happening inside this space that feels important to talk about. Not dramatic transformation or huge breakthroughs, but something quieter. A softening. A nervous system that has finally stopped bracing. In this episode, I reflect on what real transformation actually looks like for women in this season of life, why it takes time, and what becomes possible when women are consistently met in safe, supportive spaces. ✨ In This Episode Why transformation often feels quieter than we expectThe difference between cognitive insight and nervous system changeWhat happens when women stop bracing and start feeling safeWhy consistency and repetition matter for nervous system healingWhat “trusting yourself again” actually looks like in everyday life This episode is a gentle reminder that healing is rarely about becoming someone new. Often, it’s about returning to yourself slowly, steadily, and without pressure. 💛 Season of Her™ Round 3 Round 3 of Season of Her™ begins in July. If something in this episode resonates deeply for you, I’d love to invite you to join the waitlist. Not from urgency or pressure, but as a quiet declaration that your wellbeing matters too.  And if you’re not ready yet, that’s okay too. Keep listening. Keep softening. Keep meeting yourself where you are. Ep 71 - My 2026 Wellness Plan

In this episode, I’m sharing a more personal look behind the scenes — my own wellness plan for 2026, and why I’ve had to approach wellness very differently in this season of life. This isn’t about perfection or following a rigid routine. It’s about creating something flexible, supportive, and realistic — a plan that actually works with your body, not against it. In This Episode Why traditional “wellness plans” often don’t stickHow chronic health challenges reshaped my approachThe concept of a Movement Menu (and why it works)Why sleep and stress regulation are non-negotiablesThe role of nourishment — beyond just foodWhy grace might be the most important pillar of all This episode is an invitation to create a wellness plan that fits your life — not someone else’s highlight reel. A Gentle Invitation If you’d love support creating your own personalised wellness plan, I’d love to invite you into Shimmer — my mini coaching experience designed to help you map this out in a way that feels simple, sustainable, and aligned. Ep 70 - Why Nervous System Work Alone Isn't Enough — Three Pillars for the Second Half of Life

If you’ve been doing all the inner work but still don’t quite feel like yourself, this episode will gently shift how you see it. It’s not just about regulation, mindset, or habits alone — it’s about working with the deeper layers of what this season is asking of you. In this episode, I share the 3 pillars that support real, lasting change in the second half of life: the body, the narrative, and meaning. In This Episode Why nervous system work alone isn’t enoughHow hormonal shifts impact your body, mind, and identityThe hidden narratives shaping how you relate to yourselfWhy meaning and direction matter more in midlifeWhat it really takes to feel like yourself again If this resonates and you’re feeling the pull for deeper support, I’d love to invite you into Radiant — my 90-day 1:1 coaching experience. Ep 69 - What I Do When I'm Lying Awake at 3am

If you’ve ever found yourself awake at 2 or 3am with your mind racing, this episode is for you. That feeling of being exhausted but unable to switch off isn’t something you’re doing wrong. It’s your nervous system responding to load, hormonal shifts, and early morning cortisol. In this episode, I gently walk you through what’s actually happening in your body — and how to support yourself in a way that feels calm, steady, and realistic. In This Episode Why middle-of-the-night wake-ups happenWhat’s really going on in your bodyWhy thinking harder doesn’t helpSimple ways to support your nervous system at 3am Instead of trying to force sleep or solve everything in the moment, I share a softer approach. One that helps you move out of the mental spiral and back into your body, where your nervous system can begin to settle again. This is about meeting yourself differently in those quiet, tender hours of the night — with understanding rather than pressure. A Reminder You’re not broken. Your nervous system just needs a different kind of support. Tune in now and take a gentler approach to your 3am wake-ups. Ep 68 - You’re Not the Problem with Lori Montry

In this episode, I’m joined by somatic healer and author Lori Montry for a powerful conversation about stress, overwhelm, and the patterns so many women feel stuck in. If you’ve ever wondered “Why do I keep doing this?” or “Why isn’t anything changing?” — this episode offers a deeply compassionate reframe. Because what if nothing is wrong with you? In This Episode, We Explore: ✨ Why coping patterns like people-pleasing, emotional eating, or shutdown are actually protective ✨ How survival mode shapes your nervous system, behaviour, and energy ✨ Why insight and self-help tools don’t always lead to lasting change ✨ The early signs of nervous system dysregulation and burnout ✨ What it really means to create safety in your body ✨ Why co-regulation and connection are essential for healing A New Way to See Yourself Lori shares a powerful truth: You are not broken. Your patterns make sense. Lasting change doesn’t come from pushing harder — it comes from building safety, capacity, and learning to work with your nervous system. If you’ve been feeling stuck or exhausted from trying all the things, this episode will meet you exactly where you are. Tune in now — and remember, you’re not the problem. ✨ Connect with Lori Get the free Introduction to You’re Not the Problem: https://www.lorimontry.com/book-intro Website: www.LoriMontry.com Youtube: Lori Montry -Somatic Healing Practitioner - YouTube Facebook: www.facebook.com/LoriMontry Instagram: Instagram Connect with Beccy Freeman here: IG @beccy_breathe._and._blossom www.breatheandblossom.com.au ABOUT BECCY FREEMAN Beccy is a Womens’ Health Coach, Counsellor, and Candle Maker. Ep 67 - How I Support My Nervous System in Busy Seasons

In this episode, I share a very real and practical conversation about how I support my nervous system during high-capacity seasons, including the five-week launch period I have just come through. Even when stress is positive, aligned, and meaningful, the nervous system still registers load. The body does not distinguish between good stress and bad stress. It simply registers intensity. In midlife, many women notice their nervous system becoming more honest. It becomes less tolerant of chronic push-through and more responsive to rhythm and restoration. In This Episode, We Explore ✨ Why your nervous system responds to intensity, not intention ✨ Why busy seasons can feel different in midlife ✨ The difference between mobilisation and settling ✨ How overwhelm often comes from stacked future thinking ✨ Why small regulation practices matter more than dramatic self-care A Gentle Invitation If you are craving space to slow down, reconnect, and support your nervous system alongside other women, I would love to invite you to our next Luminous Women’s Circle. 🌙 Luminous Sacred Women’s Circle – Pisces New Moon 📅 Sunday March 22 📍 Numurkah Community Learning Centre A warm, heart-centred gathering where women come together to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves in community. If this episode resonates, share it with a friend who might need this reminder too.
