One of the best US politics podcasts available, genuinely insightful with insider knowledge. However, there’s a whole political landscape, including real opportunities for change in both parties, and it would be great to hear more of that explored.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ But they only seem interested in the Republican party, the Trump cabinet, every episode, every week, with no end in sight.

Goalhanger team - you’d be well served to stop advertising this podcast on other shows. It detracts from those shows. Let the flaccid, intellectually stunted listeners in your universe search this out. Spare the rest of us, please.

I can’t help but wonder if Comey didn’t give his take about Hillary still under investigation that he wouldn’t have these legal problems??

The two hosts clearly work in an upper middle-class bubble, despite that they may have come from the more middle of the economic classes. While they discuss the often on-top political causes and effects of politicians, they often neglect the causes and effects of the severe life-changing economic harms caused by those decision makers who can pay their bills on people who cannot pay their bills, because of decisions made by financially comfortable movers of policy. When people lose jobs, health insurance and social support financial programs, these can be the ‘political’ driving forces behind so-called ‘political’ activities of many in the affected population, not simply the ideology of a political party. This podcast is not the only mainstream political podcast which steers the conversation often towards the more academic dissection of politics. No one ever mentions that generally politicians get elected by only 15-30% of registered voters.
