For each episode one picks a movie and actor within said movie to discuss. Then, for the following episode, someone picks another actor and movie, EXCEPT, that actor has to have been featured in the movie from the previous episode.     CHAINED Ep.10: Let Me In / Richard Jenkins

    Episode 10 brings us to a link that didn’t quite bite as hard as Carl hoped. His pick? Richard Jenkins in Matt Reeves’ Let Me In - the limp remake of the Swedish cult gem Let the Right One In. Following the chain from Richard Jenkins (last seen in Bone Tomahawk), Jack valiantly tries to defend the film… before gleefully tearing it apart. Turns out some remakes really are pointless. As well as Carl doing a complete 180 on the Terrifier franchise, the lads also dive into the 28 Days universe - chatting about Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s long-awaited sequel, 28 Years Later.     CHAINED Ep.9: Bone Tomahawk / Kurt Russell

    The ninth link in the chain is here, and it's a mega one as Jack's actor choice is our first bona fide screen legend, KURT RUSSELL, in the brutal modern horror western classic, 'Bone Tomahawk'.  As are the rules, this was connected via Russell, who was featured in Carl's movie choice from our last episode, 'Escape from New York'. There's so much to talk about, from Carl's three positives and three negatives (the latter being a bit of a push but giving us a surprisingly good chat), to the MASSIVE career of Kurt Russell, from his child debut - kicking The King himself - through some of the greatest action and horror movies of the last 40 years. We pick our faves, the ones we still have to watch and also explore why Elvis seems to be a continuing thread through a career that has seen everything you could throw at a person.  The lads also discuss some, including the overlooked Korean multi-genre mash-up spectacular, and 2018's 'Monstrum'. They also pay tribute to the genius that was Gene Hackman - in particular his iconic performance as Superman's nemesis, Lex Luthor in 1978's 'Superman'.     CHAINED Ep.8: Escape from New York / Adrienne Barbeau

    The eighth link in the chain is here. Carl's actress choice for episode 8 is Adrienne Barbeau in John Carpenter's dystopian classic 'Escape from New York'. As are the rules, this was connected via Barbeau who was featured in Jack's movie choice from our last episode, ‘Creepshow'. Carl and Jack run through the flick in great depth, touching on why this action, sci-fi masterpiece has aged like a fine wine and continues to be influential in cinema, television and even games to this day. The same, however, can not be said for the sequel... The lads also discuss Robert Eggers' 2024 remake of 'Nosferatu' as well as F.W. Murnau's 1922 original. Not only that but Carl recently got involved with 'In a Violent Nature' and a first for the podcast, Jack discusses the all-new 'In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994' and its deep dive into early 90s horror.     The seventh link in the chain is here. Jack's actor choice for episode 7 is Ed Harris in the terrifying masterpiece brought to the world by two horror legends, a George A. Romero Film written by Stephen King himself, the 1982 anthology, 'Creepshow'. As are the rules, this was connected via Harris who was featured in Carl's movie choice from our last episode, ‘The Abyss'. Carl and Jack run through the flick in great depth, touching on why the movie broke new ground with its innovative approach and might be one of the greatest horror anthologies ever. The lads also discuss the aftermath of Carl visiting Newcastle’s Tyneside cinema for Jack's annual tradition … THE HALLOWEEN ALL-NIGHTER! Carl and Jack run through the flick in great depth, trying their utmost to find some negatives. Will they be successful? The lads also touch on the intensity of Michael Biehn, his career and his contribution to the most "James Cameron" movie James Cameron has ever made.
