Free People

The Ark of Yahweh

Free People is a 49-day journey through the counting of the omer — the seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot that the people of Israel walked from Egypt to Mount Sinai. The podcast takes its name from a radical idea embedded in that journey: that leaving slavery is not the same thing as becoming free. For forty-nine days they walked through the wilderness, learning the sefirot — the divine attributes of Yahweh — and reshaping themselves from the inside. They were unlearning the mindset of Pharaoh and rebuilding their image and likeness in Yahweh.
