    Powerless

    POWERLESS I did my best to change your mind, Showing you real love and helping you find      A different way to live and believe, To open your heart and help you see. I gave you my heart, but it was in vain, You’ve let the wrong ones lead you in the wrong way. I cannot force, I cannot guide you, You've chosen those who stand beside you. Their words are false, their counsel wrong, Yet still, you let them drag you all along. If only you would clearly see, These voices harm, yet you won’t flee. You cling to those who led you wrong, You keep them close, and they stay strong. I know I struggled with some truths, But I fought them hard, all for you. Even though I knew it was tough, I was willing to try, to give you enough. Their wisdom costs us all we share, While mine would give you love, so true and rare. I faced my fears and doubts for you, Though it was hard, I saw it through. I was willing to fight and go your way, Even when I knew the cost I’d pay. I know you trust the words they say, Believe their lies, and go their way Even they think their path is true, But you can’t see the damage they put you through. If you won't let their falsehoods go, Or free yourself from what you know, I cannot stay, I've done my part— I won't be lost where wrongness starts. Their grip is tight, their whispers loud, Their lessons echo, twisting your mind, You hold them close, refusing to see, That they are chains, not setting you free. The right is hard, it feels so cold, The wrong seems sweet, with lies they’ve sold. But fleeting joy fades fast away, While true peace comes another day. So here I leave, my heart, my key, If my soul can’t make you see Farewell, my love, I hope you find, The peace I wished for you in my time.

Join us in this episode as we explore the art of effective learning and uncover the secrets to maximizing your potential. Useful Vocabulary: Inhibit: To hinder, restrain, or prevent (an action or process).  To come across: To find or encounter something, often unexpectedly.  Come up with an idea: To think of or produce an idea, especially after a period of thought or discussion.  Likely: Probable or expected to happen. To do the trick: Means to be effective or sufficient for a purpose, like solving a problem.  To bear in mind: Means to remember or consider something Entail: means to involve or require as a necessary part or consequence. In this context, it refers to what is included or required in learning techniques and methods.

    Attending the gym isn't just about physical health; it's a holistic journey that enhances mental well-being and self-esteem. Join us as we delve into the vocabulary of fitness and discover how hitting the gym can transform into a rewarding hobby or even more. Let's pump up our language skills together! Useful vocabulary: 1. up straight: is an expression used to describe the posture or position of someone sitting or standing with their back erect, not slouching or hunched over. 2. To come out of the gate: to start or begin something, often with energy, enthusiasm, or speed. It can refer to starting a project, a race, or any other endeavour. The phrase is derived from the idea of a horse racing out of the starting gate at the beginning of a race. 3. Fancy: To have a desire or liking for something. For example, "I fancy a cup of tea."  4. Wear out: To become exhausted

    Even though I struggled with English at the beginning, I want you to know that improvement is possible for anyone, including you. If I could do it, so can you! Join me in this episode as we discuss overcoming language barriers and the journey to language proficiency. Useful vocabulary: To reckon: To think or believe something.  To be inept at something: To lack skill or ability in doing something.  Something-wise: Regarding or in terms of something. To appeal: To attract or interest someone; to be pleasing or attractive.  Whatsoever: Used for emphasis to indicate that there is no amount or degree of something.  A great deal of something: A large amount or quantity of something. Undergo / past tense: underwent: To experience or endure something, especially something unpleasant or arduous. To strive: To make great efforts to achieve or obtain something. To save face: To avoid embarrassment or humiliation, especially in a challenging situation.  To take something where I left off: To resume or continue something from the point where it was previously stopped or interrupted.
