Wrestling's Greatest What Ifs – What Could Have Been?

Some wrestling careers leave us wondering what might have been if things had turned out differently. From Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Magnum T.A. to Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude and Ken Shamrock, I look back at some of wrestling's biggest unanswered questions. Injuries, tragedies, career decisions and unfortunate timing changed the course of these wrestlers' careers. But how different might wrestling history have been if things had gone another way? Could Mr. Perfect have become WWF Champion? Would Brian Pillman have flourished during the Attitude Era? And what might Owen Hart's future have looked like? Who is your greatest wrestling 'what if'? Let me know who you'd choose and how you think their career might have unfolded.

There’s Something Special Happening in Irish Wrestling 🇮🇪

Irish wrestling has a much richer scene than I realised until I properly started discovering it a couple of years ago. From the history of Irish Whip Wrestling, through to OTT, Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, Hard Knox, RCW, CAW, NLW and others, Ireland has produced some incredible talent — with plenty more coming through today. In this video I talk about discovering the Irish independent scene, some of the wrestlers and promotions that helped build it, the stars who've gone on to bigger stages, watching OTT and other shows online when I can't attend in person, and why I want to use Irish Wrestle Talk to support and bring more attention to wrestling here at home.🇮🇪 Who should wrestling fans be watching on the Irish scene right now? And what match, wrestler or moment from Irish wrestling history should newer fans go back and discover?

CTE and Wrestling: Are We Still Taking Too Many Risks?

Professional wrestling is safer than it used to be — but does that mean the long-term risks have disappeared? In this video, I look at CTE, concussions and repeated head impacts in wrestling, how attitudes towards wrestler safety have changed, and whether performers who continue to push the boundaries raise difficult questions about risk and entertainment. How much danger is acceptable in professional wrestling — and could we look back at some of today's wrestling very differently in 20 years?

Wrestling Trading Cards: What's All the Fuss About?

Wrestling trading cards have become a huge collecting hobby, with rare parallels, autographs, graded cards and some eye-watering prices!I've got a few cards myself and have friends who are avid collectors, but I'll admit I'm still trying to get my head around it all. 😄In this video, I explore what makes wrestling cards so appealing, how collectors determine their value, the excitement of opening packs and the potential pitfalls for newcomers. Are you a wrestling card collector? What got you started, and what's your favourite card in your collection?

Why Can't Wrestling Fans Just Disagree Anymore?

The wrestling world has always been full of debate, but when did disagreeing about wrestling become so personal? From WWE vs AEW tribalism and criticism of other fans’ opinions, to engagement farming, AI-generated content and even the arguments surrounding recent events involving PAC — I look at the increasingly toxic nature of the IWC and ask whether we’ve forgotten that we’re all supposed to be enjoying wrestling. Why can’t wrestling fans just disagree anymore?

Does Wrestling Still Need Vince Russo?

Vince Russo is one of the most divisive figures in wrestling history. From his involvement in the WWF Attitude Era to his controversial time in WCW, his creative decisions still spark debate today. But has wrestling become too quick to dismiss him? With Russo continuing to share his outspoken views on modern WWE, Triple H and wrestling creative, could he still bring something valuable to the business? In this video, I look at his successes, his failures, the importance of characters and storytelling, and whether there's still a place for Vince Russo in modern professional wrestling.Would you bring Vince Russo back to a wrestling creative team, or has the business moved on?

Has Wrestling Become Too Afraid to Upset Its Own Fans?

What would wrestling look like if WWE actually gave fans everything they wanted? We demand surprises, but complain when results don't go our way. We want our favourites pushed, but can't accept them losing. And the moment somebody wins a championship, we're already discussing who should beat them.Has WWE become too afraid of upsetting its own audience? And have we, as wrestling fans, become part of the problem? In this video, I look at fan expectations, predictable booking, protecting wrestlers and why sometimes a good wrestling story needs to disappoint us.What's a wrestling decision you hated at the time but later realised might have been the right call?

Whatever Happened to the Wrestling Manager?

From Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart to Paul Bearer, Jim Cornette and Paul Heyman, managers were once a huge part of professional wrestling. They could talk for wrestlers, generate heat, build characters and sometimes become as important as the people they represented.Today, the traditional wrestling manager feels like something of a dying art.So why did the role largely disappear? And with modern wrestlers expected to be great in the ring, charismatic AND brilliant on the microphone, could wrestling actually use more managers today? And perhaps the biggest question — which current wrestler desperately needs one?
