    "He Has Shown You..." Micha 6:1-8

    Welcome to Westside Christian Church! We pray that you and your family will be encouraged as we encounter Jesus together this morning. At Westside we say “come as you are, but we dont expect to stay that way!” As we seek to be transformed into the likeness of Christ together. Today we will be taking a break from our study in Nehemiah to take a look at Micah 6:1-8. In our “me” focused culture, the tendancy is often to focus on what works for “me" This self focus can even bleed into our faith, shifting our focus from Jesus and what He wants, and onto our selves. “You do You” has opened the door to take the parts of the Bible we like and leave the rest. In this confusion, how are any of us to know the will of God in our lives? So, what does the bible say about what God wants from us? Micah 6 gives us a glimpse of the type of life he wants those who follow Him to live. To do Justice, love Mercy, and walk Humbly with our God. But what does that mean for us today? So let’s dig in together and learn what “He has shown you…” through the prophet Micah about how we live for Jesus in a me centered world - Pastor Thomas Hartung

    “Amazing Grace!” Part 2 Nehemiah 9:4-37

    We all have broken parts of our lives.  Oh, we may put on a good face, but there are parts of our life and life experience that desperately need the healing hand of our Heavenly Father.  But how do we do that?  How does one find and experience the true healing we need to keep going?  That’s where the book of Nehemiah comes in.  Nehemiah was a man who was burdened because of the brokenness of not only his people, but their beloved city, Jerusalem.  You see, Nehemiah’s story is not just about building walls, it's about rebuilding a nation's identity in God and rebuilding their shattered spiritual relationship with God because of generations of faithless disobedience.  You may find yourself in that place this morning.  Or you may be experiencing broken parts of your life with no answers.  You may be coming out of a season of brokenness and wondering how you stand again.  No matter where you find yourself today, I encourage you to join us and connect with the God who can heal…anything and everything!  And we’ll help you do so through this series on the Old Testament book of Nehemiah: “Rebuilding What Is Broken."
