Are You Really Growing in Your Faith? | Ephesians 4:1–16 | Carlos Fernandez

Are you actually growing in your relationship with Jesus, or have you become comfortable where you are? Following Jesus is more than attending church, knowing Scripture, or calling yourself a Christian. A life transformed by the gospel should look different. In Ephesians 4:1–16, the apostle Paul challenges believers to walk worthy of the calling they have received. Because of what Jesus has done for us, our lives should reflect His character, His love, and His mission. God didn't save you to leave you where you were. He saved you to make you more like Jesus! 🔥 IN THIS MESSAGE, WE TALK ABOUT FIVE TRUTHS: 1. WALK WORTHY OF YOUR CALLING Following Jesus should change the way you live. Humility, gentleness, patience, and love aren't optional characteristics for Christians. They are evidence of a life being transformed by Christ. 2. FIGHT FOR UNITY The church is one body, united through Jesus Christ. Unity requires us to put aside pride, forgive one another, reject gossip, and love people even when it's difficult. 3. JESUS HAS GIVEN YOU A GIFT Every believer has a role in the body of Christ. You don't have to stand on a stage for God to use you. Jesus has equipped you to serve His church and help others grow in their faith. Stop comparing your gifts to someone else's and start being faithful with what God has given you! 4. KEEP GROWING IN SPIRITUAL MATURITY Spiritual maturity isn't measured by how much you know but by how much you're becoming like Jesus. Are you becoming more humble? More patient? More gentle? Are you learning to speak the truth in love? God has called us to keep growing, not remain spiritual infants who are easily influenced by the world. 5. EVERY BELIEVER HAS A PART TO PLAY The church was never meant to be a place where a few people serve and everyone else watches. When every believer uses their gifts, walks in love, and stays connected to Christ, the entire body grows stronger. 🔥 THE BIG TAKEAWAY You cannot live a life worthy of your calling without becoming more like Jesus! The Christian life is not about perfection, but it should be marked by transformation. Jesus saved you. Jesus called you. Jesus equips you. And Jesus is the One who continues to grow you into spiritual maturity. KEEP GROWING IN SPIRITUAL MATURITY! 📖 Scripture: Ephesians 4:1–16🎤 Speaker: Carlos Fernandez⛪ Crosspoint City Church Young Adults📍 Northwest Georgia ABOUT CROSSPOINT CITY CHURCH YOUNG ADULTS Our mission is to help people in their 20s follow Jesus and live the life God has called them to live. Kill Pride | Carlos Fernandez | CrossPoint City Young Adults

Pride is sneaky. It shows up in ways we don’t always notice, but it slowly kills our relationship with Jesus, damages our friendships, and weakens the community around us. In Luke 18:9–14, Jesus tells a powerful parable about a Pharisee and a tax collector. On the surface, it’s a simple story, but it completely flips our idea of what it means to be right with God.In this message, Pastor Carlos Fernandez shares how pride isolates us, blinds us, and makes us compare ourselves to others while pointing to our own works instead of what Christ has already done. The Pharisee in the story looks good on the outside, but his prayer is really about himself. The tax collector, on the other hand, shows humility. He keeps his distance, lowers his eyes, beats his chest in desperation, and cries out for mercy. Jesus makes it clear that this man, not the Pharisee, went home right with God.This isn’t just a story about two men in a temple. It’s a story about us. Pride is a battle we all face, but humility is the way to freedom. Humility looks like surrendering our lives to Jesus, spending time in the Word, being honest through confession, and choosing to walk in real community. When we humble ourselves, God lifts us up and calls us His sons and daughters forever. If you’ve ever struggled with pride—and we all have—this message is for you. My prayer is that as you hear this teaching, you’ll not only see pride for what it is, but you’ll also see how amazing it is to be lifted up and honored by God when we humble ourselves before Him.Scripture: Luke 18:9–14. Love Like Jesus: The Foundation of True Manhood

What makes a man truly godly? Is it his strength, his leadership, or his ability to provide and protect? Those things matter — but according to Scripture, none of it works the way it should if it isn’t rooted in love. In this message, Pastor Carlos Fernandez from CrossPoint City Church unpacks what he calls the most important mark of biblical manhood: love. Without love, leadership becomes pride. Provision turns into performance. Protection becomes control. Love is what keeps everything in its right place. Through 1 Corinthians 13 and Matthew 22, Pastor Carlos walks men through three powerful truths that redefine what it means to be a man of God. First, you must experience the love of God for yourself. It’s not enough to hear about Jesus — you need to encounter Him personally. The Gospel isn’t about what you can do to reach God; it’s about what God did to reach you. Jesus left heaven, took on human flesh, and carried the weight of your sin because His love was stronger than the nails that held Him to the cross. Second, you are called to love God with your whole life. Not part of it. Not just on Sundays. Jesus said to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind — meaning your emotions, your identity, and your thoughts all belong to Him. Loving God isn’t a part-time commitment. It’s full-time surrender. It’s choosing to let Him lead every decision, desire, and dream. Finally, true manhood shows up when you love others out of the overflow of your relationship with God. Your family, your coworkers, your friends, even strangers — they all deserve to see the love of Jesus through the way you live. The reason you love is because He first loved you. The reason you forgive is because you’ve been forgiven. The reason you show up for people is because God never stopped showing up for you. If we get this right — if men begin to love like Jesus — it will change everything. Our homes will look different. Our churches will grow stronger. Our communities will feel the impact of men who live out the love of God daily. Watch until the end for a powerful prayer and challenge to become a man who experiences God’s love, loves Him completely, and loves others faithfully. 📖 Scriptures:1 Corinthians 13:1–3Matthew 22:37–391 John 4:19 #MensDiscipleship #BiblicalManhood #Jesus #Faith #LoveLikeJesus #ChristianMen #CarlosFernandez #CrosspointCityChurch #Gospel #FaithJourney #ChristianManhood #RealMenLove #MenOfGod #GodlyMan #Discipleship
