    Ep.39 Jet lag ✈️

    After a recent trip to Europe the jet lag was so bad that we had to talk about it... How do you deal with jet lag? Have you ever experienced really bad jet lag? What do you do to get over jet lag quicker? As well as super useful vocabulary and phrases, in today’s episode I share a modern slang phrase ⬇️ Verbing a Noun: In modern slang, turning a noun into a continuous verb ("was jet lagging") acts as an intensifier.     Ep.38 Double Ten Day 雙十節 & October holidays

    初中級 level With slow speaking speed and clear pronunciation this is a beginner-friendly episode. There is plenty of repetition and spaces for you to think and catch up. However the vocabulary and phrases might be challenging, so you may have to listen a few times and read the transcript to fully understand the audio. This is perfect for lower-intermediate level students. I suggest listening once first without reading or checking the words you don't know. After you think you understand about 70% from just listening, then you can listen and read the transcript, and then finally you can translate any new words. 這一集的語速較慢、發音清楚，非常適合初學者學習。內容中也會有很多重複，以及讓你思考、跟上進度的時間。 不過，當中的單字和片語可能會有一些挑戰，所以你可能需要多聽幾次，並搭配逐字稿閱讀，才能完全理解音檔內容。 如果你是初級中階程度的英文學習者，這一集非常適合你！ 🎧🇬🇧 我建議你先完整聽一遍，不要看逐字稿，也先不要查不認識的單字。 當你只靠聽力，大約能理解 70% 的內容後，再一邊聽音檔、一邊閱讀逐字稿。最後，再把不熟悉的新單字查出來、了解它們的意思。 這樣的練習方式可以幫助你更有效地訓練英文聽力，而不是太依賴逐字稿或翻譯。 vocabulary alone = without any others 唯一，僅僅，只有 stands for = 代表 prospective = 預期,有希望, psychiatrist = 精神科醫生 introvert = 內向者 extrovert = 外向型 ambitious = 有抱負的人 a caveat = 注意 avatar = 頭像 Thanks for listening.
