    The Biggest Mistake People make in Relationships

    How easy is it to express your inner experience to other people? * Do you wait until you “have it all together” and your words are perfectly formed? * Do you tend to withhold your actual feelings because you fear the other person’s response? * Do you authentically express the various emotions you are having without the need to prove or defend yourself?     Why you don't "need" a partner

    Recently I have heard several people say they’re not interested in dating because they don’t “need” a partner. The comment represents the (old, often subconscious) belief that relationships are founded on need, not desire. You’re not supposed to “need” a relationship. The very word indicates codependent patterns within oneself. Need indicates lack. Desire comes from a place of fullness. In this week’s Soul Sovereignty Podcast, I dive into the subconscious beliefs at the root of this line of thinking, which is becoming ever more common as women don’t “need” a man financially and we untangle ourselves out of codependent dynamics - plus what may be hiding underneath the decision to close off to intimate relating.     Many of us approach sex as an "act." Something to "do" or "get" or "have." We believe that our sexuality exists for the benefit of another.  Yet, from an ancient perspective, your sexuality was your life force energy. It belonged to you. Sexual energy is earth energy. It is the expression of love itself. Yet, nearly 5,000 years ago a shift occurred. Sexuality began to become separate from love. It began to be separated from the earth.
