I joined Molly Gebler at the Inn of Chagrin this week to talk through all the exciting holiday events and opportunities happening this December. This episode was produced by Megan Moran at Mompreneur Co. Studio. * Did you know there’s a beautiful meeting and studio space right here in the Falls? Take a virtual tour to see for yourself. Holiday Events in Chagrin Falls this December The Merchants Association events committee has been working super, super hard with the Jaycees and the village to make sure that it's a well rounded, holiday season. - Old-Fashioned Carolers + Carriage Rides - Live Greens and Christmas Trees throughout town - Cash Splash- a chance to win $500! I can't believe we're doing this! The Merchant’s Association is giving away $2,000 cash ($500 each) to 4 lucky patrons! - Window Wonderland Contest - Jingle and Mingle Shopping Event December 19th 6-8pm - Santa Claus in Whoville Saturday, December 21st 11am-2pm Shop Local this Holiday Season Amazon is easy, it's convenient, it's quick. But I challenge everybody this holiday season to shop local. These are our neighbors. The purchase you make at Hedges or Shed or the Popcorn Shop truly supports people that live in this community. And without these owners and shops and all of our support, then this magical place that is Chagrin Falls, wouldn’t be. So let's return that love, especially during the holidays. Visit in January too It's a magical experience here and there's never a bad season to stay and play in Chagrin. They keep the lights up two weeks after the holidays so I always tell people, especially here at the inn because we're pretty booked in December, to come visit then too. The lights are still up, the shops are still open, our Christmas room is open at the Inn, and you can enjoy the town for YOU. You don't have that hustle and bustle, or worry about shopping or buying for others, the shopping can be solely for you. There's never a bad time to come here. This is a public episode. Martha Vucsko wants you to feel and look your best...

Welcome back to the Chagrin Falls Merchant Association Podcast where we’re talking all things Chagrin Falls and the businesses who reside here. Martha Vucsko joined us in studio this week to share not only her business story but also her holistic approach to business and life. Learn More about La Look Here Learn More about Cipok Shoes Here Read or watch this episode here. This episode was produced by Megan Moran at Mompreneur Co. Studio. * Did you know there’s a beautiful meeting space and podcast studio right here in the Falls? Take a virtual tour to see for yourself. Why Martha has built her business for 30 years in Chagrin I've been in the industry over 30 years and was one of the very first Med spas in the country. We specialize in facials. So our main focus is, perfecting your skin. Your skin health starts from within We take a holistic approach when somebody comes in. It's not just you're here for a facial in, out, done we really take our time with it. "Your face tells the story of what's going on internally" It's called face mapping. Facials are key because you can inject your skin with anything but if you don't have good skin, it's not going to make a difference because that's just a band-aid. It's not getting to the root and the foundation of everything. Continuing to make people feel and look beautiful with shoes I always had a love for shoe and purses. And I realized there really wasn't a shoe store in town- we had one, but unfortunately during COVID it closed down. So when a space opened right around the corner from La Look I grabbed it and it all just fit together. My clients would always comment on my shoes and now they had a space to get not only those but we also carry: * some apparel * belts * purses * jewelry * and we have a beauty bar as well where they can find products that are totally different than at La Look. From photography to knitting... Here's how Tiffany's passion turned into her business

Welcome back to the Chagrin Falls Merchant Association Podcast where we’re talking all things Chagrin Falls and the businesses who reside here. Tiffany Perry joined us in studio this week to share not only her business story but also more on the art of knitting. This episode was produced by Megan Moran at Mompreneur Co. Studio. * Did you know there’s a beautiful meeting space and podcast studio right here in the Falls? Take a virtual tour to see for yourself. I love to knit, but I also love to bring that love to other people. So I love to teach somebody and see them walk away and feeling like they've accomplished something. And I love, when somebody is looking to make something, to maybe introduce them to color combinations they haven't seen before, or show them how they might put that together in a way that they hadn't thought about. We're doing more to foster community. We’re calling it the Winter Adventure Collection. It’s a gift set with: * Little gifts from stores in Chagrin Falls. * 12 mini skeins of all natural, hand dyed yarn by a local hand dyer here who lives in Bainbridge. * And knitting and crocheting items. We are doing that for the second year and we have only 75 available. Get Yours Here Connect with Tiffany at The Artful Yarn: Website Instagram Are you an Association Member? Welcome to the Chagrin Falls Merchant Association Podcast feat. Molly Gebler

Welcome to the Chagrin Falls Merchant Association Podcast. This is exciting! Molly and I are honored to work together to bring this show to you. Small businesses supporting and collaborating with small businesses is what it's all about. And that’s what we’re creating here today. My name is Megan Moran and I am the owner of Mompreneur Co. Studio right here in Chagrin Falls. Our vibey space offers mindful entrepreneurs, creatives and businesses a place to start a podcast, record their next course or social media videos, host a content pop up day or get together for their next meeting or photo shoot. And as a podcaster and producer myself, I’ll be creating and hosting this show for you. What is the Chagrin Falls Merchant Association? I am Molly Gebler and I am the president of the Chagrin Falls Merchants Association. The Merchants Association was created 3 years ago. It started very grassroots. A couple of local business owners said, we need to focus on getting awareness strictly to Chagrin Falls businesses and started a group. Now we have an incredible board, and an incredible events committee who are really committed as am I. My big thing is getting eyes on and feet in the village. We have about 60 members, and our directory as well as events are a huge selling point because it brings patrons to the community to shop, eat and explore. Another great thing about being part of this Merchants Association is that we have a voice in the village. We have a one on one with the mayor, we're meeting with the president of council and they're listening. So to have a collective voice is super important in any kind of group. We also host some happy hours for an intimate moment between the merchants. As a small local business owner, you’re usually working most of your business hours yourself, then you're leaving at 5pm and you wanna just get out and go. So we're trying to get everyone together so it feels less lonely. I'm a big supporter of: How can I help you? And you're going to help me just through conversation, know? So I think the merchants getting together is a huge value. And with this podcast, oh my gosh, I'm beyond. We're going to be able to get the word out about how incredible Chagrin is and our members are going to be able to share their stories. There's going to be so much value both ways, for the listener and guests. What you can expect from this podcast In each episode, we'll share: * Events that are going on in the association. * Deals and events that our members are hosting. * Potentially some giveaways. * What's going on in the village in general. * Answers to your questions- we want to hear from you in the comments. * And then we’ll dive into the interview with a shop owner. * Where you’ll get to know them both as a person and in their business. If you are a merchant and you're not a member yet, come join us here. If you’re a member and want to be on the podcast, book your time slot here. _______________________________________________________________________ This episode was produced by Megan Moran at Mompreneur Co.
