Welcome friends and fellow bloomers! I had the delightful privilege of talking with Laurie Woodward recently. She is an award-winning author, screenwriter, and producer from right here on the central coast of California. Her new short, sci-fi, noir film, Celestial Pirouette, is magical and marvelous! It is about hope, overcoming loneliness, and the healing power of art through connection. In all of her work Laurie explores creativity, resilience, and transformation. Her published works include Euclid's Children: Tristan's Trial, Time Murmurations, Finding Joy, The Artania Chronicles series, and Forest Secrets, along with numerous short stories and poems. She also co-wrote the memoir Dean and JoJo: The Dolphin Legacy, featured in the IMAX film Dolphins, Robin Williams' In the Wild, and Animal Planet. A former bilingual teacher and peace consultant, Laurie continues to encourage others to use imagination as a catalyst for hope, connection, and change.
