#39 Jennifer & Bridgette talk about the difference in Feeling Better & Becoming Better

Today's conversation flowed toward a discussion about Becoming Better. Jennifer has noticed that she's really desiring more community experiences that emphasize Becoming Better & Bridgette elaborates on a time when she felt she was chasing an addiction of "feeling better". Jennifer notes that she's heard the phrase, "Become Better"  for herself for weeks now and Bridgette is reminded of the necessity for daily practices to maintain a self agency of becoming better when faced with life's daily challenges and negative energies that swirl in our world. While recording this episode, a wasp flew into the room Jennifer was working in, landed on a painting Jennifer created years ago and because the two women are ever curious - The Wasp Appearance & Landing feels like something to consider & pay attention to as it relates to their conversation, connections & continued creative ventures.   Stay Curious & Happy Listening Y'all! #38 Jennifer & Bridgette a conversation on the First Day of Spring, an always open & honest discussion between friends.

Jennifer and Bridgette talk about adjusting to Springtime’s changes and naturally flowing with these shifts rather than working against what nature’s changes bring.  The two friends talk about the bigger picture when making major adjustments for themselves and how they want to do so carefully and considerately with themselves. Bridgette shares that It takes time to adjust to changes and “it’s worth pausing” to give ourselves grace when seasonal changes occur. Bridgette confesses that she has been critical of herself at times when she sees herself making major movements toward new things and she is questioning why it isn’t easy on her. She’s asking herself, “What do I need right now?” which requires her to pause. Jennifer receives the message, “slowing down” after listening to Bridgette.  Jennifer is working with “being willing to see something all the way through” and “being willing to feel uncomfortable”. She elaborates on her journey of releasing herself from taking medications for her mental health. She is aiming to achieve her optimal mental health and clarity. She believes it is now right to gradually reduce her use of medications, which she has appreciated having as a resource. She describes how hard it is to do this for herself, yet she will not give up.  Jennifer reminds Bridgette of the question Bridgette asked her not long ago, “do you want to feel better, or do you want to become better?". Bridgette lovingly reminds Jennifer of what she is accomplishing. Bridgette reveals that she is forgetting about what Jennifer is dealing with by tapering off of synthetic medications because she doesn’t feel she is any different. Jennifer then wonders if she is holding back from telling the full breadth of how much she is struggling physiologically. Jennifer wants to see what is possible by being willing to do what she is doing right now and struggling through this hard time and she is committed to see herself through it.  Bridgette talks about how she has to be sensitive to what she can and can’t do at this time in her life. She reflects on how impermanent life’s moments and experiences are. She maintains her focus on her own well being and her new freedom of letting go of “old ways” she expected from herself. She no longer feels guilty or judges herself. Rather she’s finding herself say that she has a “peaceful acceptance”.  The conversation ends by the two friends reminiscing on the little joys and happiness they find for themselves each day.    Soakk is the app Jennifer refers to that she and Bridgette are using to support their wellbeing. #37 - Jennifer & Bridgette try and find Divine Wisdom and Guidance in Challenging Times of Conflict & Intense Emotional Moments

Jennifer & Bridgette are very curious as to how Divine Wisdom shows up in conflict and activated moments that have intense emotional surges & energy.  Jennifer is reflecting on her prayer that she wrote and continues to pray every day since the beginning of the year. Can Divine Presence guiding her mean that someone else may feel uncomfortable with how she expresses herself or shows kindness to herself? Is kindness to herself selfish or necessary?  Bridgette has noticed that she can stop herself from overdoing and the Voice of Divine Mother supports her to love herself with more tenderness & gentleness as she continues to repeat the affirmation, "How can I mother myself today with the same lavish love that I have given?" They also explore what it means to "stay in their femininity". How do we abandon our femininity? Jennifer asks the question of Bridgette if she thinks the abandonment of femininity is the reason they both feel drawn to Divine Mother. Bridgette has a fantastic answer to this question.  Send us a text Who Raised Us? with Jennifer & Bridgette is produced and sponsored by The People Coach. #36 - Jennifer & Bridgette are Finding a Parallel in the Ways that They Flow in Their Spiritual Lives

Jennifer and Bridgette both notice that they have significant parallels in their spiritual journeys and yet, different pathways as they reach for understanding. Each uses a morning ritual that involves prayer like formats that they both have written for themselves. Jennifer calls her experience a "prayer", Bridgette calls her experience "affirmations". All of it very personal, tailored to the individual & formed through what speaks specifically to each of them, yet as they share their experiences with each other, they notice similarities. This continues to make them very curious about their friendship, their personal lifestyle, their journey as women and what it all might mean. Join them as they continue to excavate the Little Miracles of Everyday Life! Send us a text Who Raised Us? with Jennifer & Bridgette is produced and sponsored by The People Coach.
