Gary Passamore, better known as That Detail Guy, is the owner of That Detail Shop, a Navy veteran, entrepreneur, content creator, and one of the strongest voices in the detailing community. Tonight, we’re pulling back the curtain on something everybody in this industry seems to have an opinion about: 🧪 PRIVATE LABELING. What does “private label” actually mean? Who really manufactures the chemicals behind detailing brands? What’s the difference between an off-the-shelf formula, a modified formula, and truly custom chemistry? Who owns the formula? What do manufacturers, blenders, distributors, and brands actually contribute? And most importantly: Is there anything inherently wrong with private labeling — or does the problem start when companies aren’t honest about what they’re actually doing? Gary wants to talk about it.     This one is personal. Brian Spitler isn't simply another guest on The Corner Hangout. He's one of the original Horsemen, one of the most respected names in the detailing community, and—more importantly—a ride-or-die friend I've been fortunate enough to call a friend for more than a decade. Brian and I go back to around 2015, LONG before Phoenix E.O.D. existed. And no, before anyone gets confused, I was NEVER A DETAILER. 😂 Xtreme sent me to detailing school once, and the most important thing I learned was that I absolutely did NOT want to detail cars for a living. But that world introduced me to some incredible people. Brian was one of them.
