Gut Punch

Ashlyn Saltzburg

My name is Ashlyn Saltzburg. I reside in Los Angeles, California. I am a junior at Marlborough School. I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at age 8. For t majority of my life, I have felt insulated and alone in dealing with my disease. Some of it was due to the fact that I was in denial and did not want to surround myself with others who suffered from the same predicament. I, therefore, have not met many other young IBD adults. I was motivated to create Gut Punch as a way to create a safe space to connect with and highlight stories about my IBD peers for those who find it
