Why God Is Not Answering My Prayers (Check This First) | Daily Decree

Why are my prayers not answered? Why is God not answering my prayers? Before anything else, check this: are you walking in forgiveness? “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you” (Mark 11:25). We have had prayers blocked because we didn’t forgive. In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps teaches how to live effectively by understanding God’s principles and then doing them:     1    Principles transfer. Diligence learned in sports transfers to business. Prayer that brought breakthrough in your body can bring breakthrough in your work. You may be further along than you think.     2    Why God made a world of fixed principles. C.S. Lewis (The Problem of Pain) pictures a chess game where your opponent lets you take back every bad move: no consequences, no meaning. God gave us real choices, so our choices matter, including the choice to love Him.     3    The principle: forgive when you pray. Jesus’ parable of the unforgiving servant (Matthew 18): we’re the servant who was forgiven a debt we could never pay. And Job’s fortunes were restored after he prayed for his friends (Job 42:10).     4    Be doers of the Word, not hearers only (James 1:22). Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time): I will operate according to God’s principles in every area of my life. I will not merely hear the Word of God, but put it into practice. I will not expect a harvest where I refuse to sow. I will forgive as freely as I have been forgiven. Save this one, and send it to someone who’s been waiting on an answer. Chapters: 0:00 Prayers blocked 0:36 Principles transfer 2:54 Why God created structure 4:09 C.S. Lewis and the chess game 6:43 Why your prayers are blocked 7:32 The unforgiving servant 9:09 Job prayed for his friends 10:16 Doers of the word 11:55 Decrees Questions to sit with today:     1    What principle have I learned in one area of life that I haven’t carried into another?     2    Is there anyone I need to forgive before I pray?     3    Where am I hearing the Word without doing it?     4    Who could I pray for, the way Job prayed for his friends?     5    Where am I expecting a harvest without sowing? Decree it in the comments: “I will forgive as freely as I have been forgiven.” Then type “I agree.” More from Robo Kreps: robokreps.com Instagram: @robokreps #DailyDecree #UnansweredPrayer #Forgiveness #Faith #Christian #Jesus #RoboKreps #Develop

Why does the same thing keep happening to me?

Robert Kreps: I'm attempting to build a decree based off the fact that a soft tongue breaketh a bone, and with patience a ruler can be persuaded. Period. John Wooden tells a story of a day in the fields where this ox won't get up.(it may be a mule mname Kate and tell this story first ) I think that's what it was, and he's kicking at it and screaming at it. And then his dad comes up and speaks really softly to it, and he rises. What a great picture of the Proverbs, that a soft tongue can breaketh a bone. That to something that is unyielding, or feels like it's impassible, you don't get there by screaming at it or being demanding, but by speaking softly. That a soft word can do the breaking. Samantha Hassinger: Why does the same thing keep happening to me? If you keep facing the same battle, God may be going after the root. David was anointed king young but didn’t take the throne until he was 30 (2 Samuel 5:4). What did God have to root out of him first? In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps prays over three things:     1    The root of insecurity and the fear of man. “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe” (Proverbs 29:25). God did not give you a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).     2    Challenges. Trials produce steadfastness (James 1:2–3). It’s not a challenge unless you actually have a chance of failure, and some challenges are so big you don’t know you can overcome them until God gives them to you. “I can never go back to who I was last year. That only happens through a challenge.”     3    Who you are. God cares about your development and your character, and He gave you the right to become a child of God (John 1:12). Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time): I bind the spirit of insecurity off my life. I walk in the fear of the Lord, not the fear of man. I welcome challenges with joy. I am a child of God. Save this one, and send it to someone who keeps fighting the same battle. In this decree:     •    The goal: get rid of the bad roots     •    What God had to root out of David     •    Why God revisits the same issues     •    Binding the spirit of insecurity     •    The fear of man vs. the fear of the Lord     •    Thank God for challenges     •    “It’s not a challenge unless you can fail”     •    A challenge so big you get a testimony     •    “I can never go back to who I was”     •    God cares about your development     •    Hunger: “It outed me”     •    You are a child of God     •    Prayer: You get the glory, not us Questions to sit with today:     1    What issue keeps coming back in my life, and what might the root be?     2    Where am I living in the fear of man instead of the fear of the Lord?     3    What challenge am I in right now, and what is it revealing?     4    Who could I get around that would upgrade my character?     5    Do I live like a child of God? Decree it in the comments: “I bind the spirit of insecurity off my life.” Then type “I agree.” More from Robo Kreps: robokreps.com Instagram: @robokreps

You're Doing Everything Right, But Missing This | Daily Decree

Talent is overrated. “You take whatever talent you have and whatever calling you have and you give it faith.” Faith is the catalyst for everything to happen. We have to let our operating principle be faith. Not a little faith. Extreme faith.Faith sees Goliath and says, “He ain’t 6'10. He’s like four foot to me,” because the battle is the Lord’s (1 Samuel 17:47).In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps walks through how to build your faith in God:Practice it every day. A golfer works on his swing every day. A basketball player works on his shooting. Faith is the catalyst for everything to happen, so we can never talk about it enough.Faith is a principle God built into the world. Gravity works every time; so does the law of faith. And if you already have it, it’s not faith. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).Faith minimizes obstacles. Faith sees a mountain and says, “Be moved” (Matthew 17:20). We don’t ignore the mountain; we walk up to it and ask, “How is this going to happen? Because I know it can.”Run with the stories. The widow had one jar of oil, and God multiplied it until she could live on the rest (2 Kings 4). Your jar might be one business idea no one knows about yet. Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time):My operating principle is extreme faith. My cup of faith runs over.Save this one, and send it to someone who’s staring at a giant right now.In this decree:Talent isn’t enough: give it faithLet your operating principle be extreme faithPractice faith like an athlete practicesSalvador Dalí and the principle of faithIf you already have it, it’s not faithFaith minimizes obstaclesFaith sees GoliathFaith figures out a wayWe are His workmanship (Ephesians 2:10)Prayer: inject us with faithThe widow’s oil: He just needed one jarDecrees: My cup of faith runs overQuestions to sit with today:Is faith my operating principle, or something I think about once in a while? What would daily faith practice look like for me?What obstacle has been making me shrink back or worry? What would change if I asked “how?” instead of “can we?”What is my “one jar” that God could multiply?Decree it in the comments: “My operating principle is extreme faith.” Then type “I agree.”Go deeper in Robo’s Notes, the library of everything Robo studies, from Scripture to the people who shaped history. The miracle wasn't the point. This was: | Daily Decree

The miracles didn’t last. Everyone who was healed in Scripture, everyone who was raised from the dead, died at some point. You know what lasts? Repentance, because it saves our soul.Jesus pronounced woes over the cities where He did His miracles: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes” (Matthew 11:21). The cities they looked down on would have turned. They saw it and stayed the same.In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps asks the hard question: what have you done with what God has shown you?The miracle was meant to turn people to God. Repentance was greater than the miracle. Some of us have had revelation, read so much Scripture, seen the miracle, and stayed the same. What repentance is: not behavior modification, but turning to God (Acts 3:19). He disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6).The same coach, the same plays: one team listened and won, one didn’t and lost. The difference was who listened.Don’t forget what God has done. The miracle He did four years ago, the season He pulled you through. Come back to Him. He’s right here. Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time):I declare that the works of God transform my life.I declare that reading the Word of God causes me to repent.I declare that my heart will never become hardened toward the voice of God.I decree that the stories in the Bible remind me how real God is.Save this one, and send it to someone who needs to remember what God has already done.In this decree:Somebody with your exact upbringing: what would they have done with it?Woe to you, Chorazin and Bethsaida (Matthew 11:21)Who do you think you’re better than? The miracles didn’t last. Repentance does.We saw the miracle and stayed the sameIf it had been done in Sodom (Matthew 11:23)What repentance actually isImagine you’re the Savior of the worldDecrees: my heart will never be hardenedThe same coach, two different teamsDon’t forget what He didPrayer: keep us close to YouQuestions to sit with today:What has God shown me that I haven’t acted on?Where have I seen a miracle and stayed the same? What do I do with the Scripture and revelation I already have? What has God done in my past that I’ve started to forget? Is there anything I need to turn from today?Decree it in the comments: “My heart will never become hardened toward the voice of God.” Then type “I agree.”Go deeper in Robo’s Notes, the library of everything Robo studies, from Scripture to the people who shaped history. You’ve Lowered Your Expectations Without Realizing It | Daily Decree

We can’t follow God and have low expectations. King David prayed, “In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly” (Psalm 5:3). He prayed, and then he looked for the answer. Someone with your IQ and upbringing has more than you do simply because they had higher expectations. In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps walks through the power of expectation: Expectation causes action. The woman said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well” (Mark 5:28). She expected it, so she moved. You get what you expect. A basketball player, Robo, turned down Division II offers because he expected Division I, and he got one. “High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation” (Charles Kettering). Expectation impacts today. If a friend is flying in tomorrow, you get your home ready today. Noah didn’t wait for the flood; he built because he expected God to do what He said (Hebrews 11:7). Pray, and then look for it. “Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). Don’t settle. Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time):I bind low standards off my life. The Lord is raising my standards of excellence. I expect the Lord to be seen through me.I walk as the light of the world. Save this one, and send it to someone who’s been settling. In this decree:We can’t follow God with low expectationsWait expectantly (Psalm 5:3)Expectation causes action“That’s your expectation, not mine”You get what you expect: the Division I storyHigher expectations, not a higher IQFrom nowhere to pro basketballExpectation impacts today: Noah built firstPray, then look for itSteal the blueprintDecrees: I bind low standards off my lifeQuestions to sit with today:Where have I been praying without expecting an answer? You're Too Concerned With What People Think | Daily Decree

How do you know your calling from God? How do you know God’s will for your life? Start where Jesus did: “I must.”The Savior of the world had necessity laid upon Him. He said, “I must.” Being mission-minded isn’t asking what’s available. It’s “I’ve got to do what the Lord sent me to do.”“He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives” (Luke 4:18). And a few verses later, when the town wanted Him to stay: “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose” (Luke 4:43).My mission is greater than your approval. My mission is greater than hearing applause. I must go.In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps walks through Paul’s “Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16), why God wants to raise up people He only has to tell once, and the premise of Good to Great: we typically choose what’s available, not what’s best. What was available to Jesus was a town that wanted Him to stay. That wasn’t best.Don’t know your mission yet? Start with Micah 6:8: do justice, love kindness, walk humbly with your God. There’s someone at your work today. Go talk to them. That’s good news. Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time):I will recognize which opportunities serve my calling, and I will have the courage to decline those that pull me away. The Father’s will governs my decisions.Fear and the need for approval will not silence my “I must.”The pressure of people wanting me to stay will not keep me from obeying God when He tells me to go.Save this one, and send it to someone who’s asking God what He wants them to do with their life.In this decree:Jesus said, “I must”Sent to preach good news (Luke 4)My mission is greater than your approvalPaul: necessity is laid upon meHear it once and runThe well that never runs dryHis mission was peopleGood to great: available vs. bestThis is my yesStart with Micah 6:8Decrees: the Father’s will governs my decisionsQuestions to sit with today:What is my “I must”?Where am I choosing what’s available over what’s best?Whose approval is keeping me where God has told me to go?What word has God already given me that I need to take hold of and run with?Who is one person I can be mission-minded toward today?Decree it in the comments: “The Father’s will governs my decisions.” Then type “I agree.”Go deeper in Robo’s Notes, the library of everything Robo studies, from Scripture to the people who shaped history. If You Believe God Has Called You, Expect REVELATION | Daily Decree

Revelation is coming in your walk. When the disciples met Jesus, they didn’t fully know Him, and they kept getting to know Him. But here’s the crux of the matter: when you receive revelation, you can’t go back to who you were yesterday. You’re a new person. This is Part 8, the final part of the series: If You Believe God Has Called You, Expect This. The disciples watched Jesus cast out demons, then saw Him calm the storm and asked, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mark 4:41). They watched Him feed the 5,000 (Mark 6:44) and the 4,000 (Mark 8:9), then sat in the boat worried about one loaf of bread. Jesus said, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees” (Mark 8:15). If He did it once, and He did it twice, He can do it again. That’s revelation. That’s upgraded thinking. In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps walks through Moses asking, “Please show me now your ways, that I may know you” (Exodus 33:13), why revelation is meant to be shared to build the faith of others, and why it’s time to kill small thinking. “God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7). You might be sitting in something you were never called to sit in. That’s not on your docket today. Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time):I am believing God for more revelation. The Lord will give me secrets. The Lord gives me understanding.I think with God.Save this one, and send it to someone who needs a paradigm shift today. In this decree:Revelation is coming in your walkYou can’t go back to who you were“Who is this?” Jesus calms the stormBeware the leaven: if He did it once…Moses: “Show me your ways”Ask for revelation, then stay with itRevelation is for others tooDecrees: more revelationKill small thinkingYou don’t have to sit in fearAs a man thinks, so is heQuestions to sit with today:What has God revealed to me about Himself that I’ve been forgetting?Where am I living on “yesterday’s bread”?Where is small thinking or fear holding me back right now? What testimony can I share this week to build someone else’s faith? What would it look like to think with God today?Decree it in the comments: “I think with God.” Then type “I agree.”Missed the series? If You Believe God Has Called You, Expect a GAP SEASON (Part 7) | Daily Decree

When we follow God, it is so important to know where we’re specifically going. We need a word from God. And when you get a word, expect a gap season. Before it’s fulfilled, it will take time. This is Part 7 of an 8-part series: If You Believe God Has Called You, Expect This.Don’t have a word yet? Ask: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). Get in prophetic circles; He gave prophets to the church (Ephesians 4:11). Record your dreams: “your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28). And pay attention to the Holy Spirit’s leading deep down. Then comes the gap. Joseph dreamed his brothers’ sheaves bowed down to his at about seventeen (Genesis 37), and it was 20-some years before it came to pass. David was anointed king as a teenager and didn’t reign until thirty (2 Samuel 5:4). Abraham was promised a great nation at seventy-five and waited twenty-five years for Isaac. In this Daily Decree, Robo Kreps shows how the word God gives you will try you: “Until what he had said came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him” (Psalm 105:19). Some tests are silent. But the same word will sustain you when nothing lines up.Then Robo leads decrees you can say with him (they’re on screen so you can agree in real time):I hear God’s voice.A word from God is coming to me right now.Lord, increase my dreams.I am in my perfect position.Save this one, and send it to someone who’s waiting on a word from God.In this decree:Get a word from GodExpect a gap seasonAsk, seek, knockGet in prophetic circlesRecord your dreamsThe Holy Spirit’s inner witnessJoseph: a dream at seventeenDavid: anointed, then waitingThe word tries you and sustains youSome tests are silentLandmarks, and no landmarksDecrees: I hear God’s voiceQuestions to sit with today:Have I ever specifically asked God for a word about my life? What words or dreams have I received, and have I written them down? What gap season am I in right now?How is the word God gave me testing me, and how is it sustaining me?What landmarks have I seen along the way?Decree it in the comments: “I hear God’s voice.” Then type “I agree.”Go deeper in Robo’s Notes, the library of everything Robo studies, from Scripture to the people who shaped history.
