Daniel as the Key to Revelation

Revelation is not a stand-alone prophetic document. It is Daniel's blueprint brought to culmination. The beast of Revelation 13 combines the leopard, bear, and lion of Daniel 7 into a single composite figure. The ten horns are Daniel's ten horns. The time-times-and-half-a-time is Daniel's three-and-a-half-year period, expressed as 42 months in Revelation 11 and 1,260 days in Revelation 12. The Ancient of Days taking his seat is Revelation's Great White Throne. The Son of Man coming with clouds opens and closes Revelation.   When you read Revelation as a commentary on Daniel rather than as a stand-alone text, the confusion of popular eschatology -- the rapture debates, the failed date-setting, the Left Behind framework -- becomes predictable: it is what happens when you read the final chapter of a story without reading the earlier chapters first.   This arc closes with the integration. Daniel first. Then the Gospels. Then Revelation. The blueprint is real. The architect is reliable. And once you read in the right order, the ending is clear.   Scripture: Daniel 7:1-14, 23-27 | Revelation 13:1-7 | Revelation 17:3-14 | Revelation 4-5 | Revelation 20:11-15 | Matthew 24:15-31 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support. The Seventy Weeks: The Most Precisely Predictive Prophecy in Scripture

In Daniel 9, the angel Gabriel gives Daniel a specific number: 69 weeks of years from a specific decree to the Anointed One's coming. 483 years. Using the documented decree of Artaxerxes I in 444 BC and the ancient prophetic calendar of 360 days per year: 173,880 days. Counted forward, that lands within the known range of Jesus's entry into Jerusalem before the crucifixion.   This is not a coincidence. This is arithmetic.   Today we run the calculation, examine the three major interpretive positions on the 70th week (futurist gap, preterist continuous, partial fulfillment), and establish the one thing all three positions agree on: the prophetic character of Daniel's blueprint is established by the 69-week precision. Whatever the 70th week contains, it is the final section of a document that has been accurate from the beginning.   Scripture: Daniel 9:24-27 | Nehemiah 2:1-8 | Matthew 24:15 | Luke 21:20-24 | Hebrews 10:11-14 | Revelation 11:2, 12:6 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support. The Four Beasts and the Son of Man

Daniel 7 gives us the same four kingdoms as Daniel 2, but viewed from heaven's perspective. From earth, they are magnificent metals. From heaven, they are beasts -- a lion, a bear, a leopard, and something so terrible that no animal metaphor can contain it. Then the Ancient of Days takes his seat. The court is opened. The books appear. And one like a son of man comes with the clouds of heaven and receives an everlasting kingdom.   Jesus chose Son of Man as his primary self-designation -- 80 times in the Gospels. At his trial before Caiaphas, when asked if he was the Messiah, he responded by citing Daniel 7:13 directly. The high priest tore his robes. Not because Jesus claimed to be the Messiah. Because he claimed to be the divine-human figure in Daniel's vision who receives eternal dominion from the Ancient of Days.   Daniel 7 is the foundation for Revelation's beast imagery, the Great White Throne judgment, and the Son of Man language throughout the New Testament. You cannot read the New Testament accurately without it.   Scripture: Daniel 7:1-28 | Matthew 26:63-65 | Mark 14:61-64 | Acts 7:56 | Revelation 13:1-7 | Revelation 20:11-15 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support. The Statue and the Stone: Daniel 2 and the Four Kingdoms

In the 6th century BC, Daniel recorded a sequence: four world empires would rise and fall. Babylon would be succeeded by Persia. Persia by Greece. Greece by Rome. And in the days of the Roman empire, a kingdom not built by human hands would break into history and grow until it filled the whole earth.   Babylon fell to Persia in 539 BC. Persia fell to Alexander the Great in 331 BC. Alexander's empire split into four kingdoms after his death, exactly as Daniel 8 predicted. Rome rose as the iron empire. And in the Roman era, under Augustus Caesar and Tiberius Caesar, a carpenter from Galilee proclaimed the arrival of a kingdom not established by human power.   The first three transitions are historical fact. The stone is real. The blueprint is reliable. Arc of Daniel's Blueprint opens with the foundation.   Scripture: Daniel 2:31-45 | Ezekiel 14:14 | Matthew 24:15 | Luke 1:33 | Revelation 11:15 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support. Why God Allowed the Rebellion

The hardest question this weeks episodes raise: why did a perfect God create the most magnificent being ever made, allow that being to rebel, and permit the consequences to produce every atrocity in human history?   This episode answers it without minimizing the cost. Four angles: genuine freedom as the prerequisite for genuine relationship. Genuine agency as the structure of God's governance through the divine council. The demonstration argument from Job 1 and Ephesians 3:10 -- the Church exists to make known God's manifold wisdom to the watching rulers and authorities in heavenly places. And the eternal purpose -- grace given in Christ before the ages began, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. The cross was not plan B.   The new creation of Revelation 21-22 is not a return to Eden. It is better than Eden in a specific way: it knows what genuine devotion looks like under genuine pressure, and it knows that the love held.   Scripture: Job 1:6-12 | Ephesians 3:10-11 | 1 Corinthians 4:9 | 2 Timothy 1:9 | Romans 8:18-28 | Isaiah 46:10 | Revelation 5:9-10, 13:8, 21:3-4 Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support. The Gap between Genesis 1:1 & 1:2: Was There a World Before Adam?

Isaiah 45:18 is explicit: God did not create the earth tohu — formless and empty. Genesis 1:2 says the earth was tohu va'vohu. If both are true, something happened between verse 1 and verse 2. The Gap Theory isn't a modern workaround for geology. Thomas Chalmers laid it out in 1814. G.H. Pember examined it in depth in 1876. The Scofield Bible carried it to millions of readers. And the Hebrew verb hayetah — usually translated "was" — can legitimately be rendered "became." The earth became formless and empty. Something made it that way. This episode walks the linguistic case for the gap, the strongest arguments against it, what the gap may have contained theologically, and what changes about the whole biblical narrative if there was a world before Adam — a prior creation under the anointed cherub, judged into ruin by his rebellion. Scripture covered: Genesis 1:1-2 · Isaiah 45:18 · Isaiah 34:11 · Jeremiah 4:23-26 · Job 38:4-7 · 2 Peter 3:5-6 · Revelation 12:4 This weeks episode arc so far: Ep. 1 — Who the adversary was before he became the adversary  Ep. 2 — The two-stage fall: the throne room and the cross Ep. 3 — This episode: the gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 Ep. 4 — Coming next: why did God allow the rebellion at all? 🎧 Ad-free audio: $5/mo · Ad-free audio + video: $10/mo — patreon.com/c/BroadcastingSeeds 📖  Books & more: BennettTantonBooks.com Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support.
