Learning to Celebrate Yourself - EPS 116

When was the last time you celebrated yourself, momma? As moms, we're usually really good at celebrating everyone else. We celebrate our kids, our husbands, our family, and our friends. But when we accomplish something or make progress in our own lives, we can be so quick to dismiss it and move on to the next thing. I recently caught myself doing this after I accomplished something that may not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but it was a big deal to me. It made me realize how important it is to recognize our progress and celebrate the small wins too. In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I'm sharing why learning to celebrate yourself is an important part of self-care for moms. I talk about why we tend to dismiss our own accomplishments, why you don't have to wait until you've reached a big goal to be proud of yourself, and why celebrating yourself will make you a better woman and mom! Because momma, you don't have to wait until you've arrived to celebrate the woman you're becoming. If you're a Christian mom who is always encouraging and celebrating everyone else but struggles to give yourself the same encouragement, I think this episode will really speak to you. If you're ready to start prioritizing your self-care, I want to invite you to my Self-Care for Busy Moms class. How to Stop Taking Responsibility for Everything as a Mom - EPS 115

As moms, we're used to being the ones who step in, figure things out, and make sure everything is ok. But what happens when you start taking responsibility for things that were never yours to fix? Sometimes something happens with your child, your spouse, or someone else you love, and even though you didn't create the situation, it still affects you. So how do you support the people you love without taking on the responsibility of fixing everything for them? In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I'm sharing how to stop taking responsibility for everything as a mom and recognize the difference between supporting someone and taking over what belongs to them. I'm talking about giving yourself permission to acknowledge how someone else's choices or problems affect you, recognizing what actually belongs to you, and learning how to care for the people you love without carrying everything yourself. Because momma, you can care deeply about what someone is going through and still recognize that everything isn't yours to fix. If you're a Christian mom who feels responsible for keeping everything and everyone together, struggles with setting boundaries, or finds yourself taking on other people's problems, this episode is for you. And if you're ready to start prioritizing your self-care, I want to invite you to my Self-Care for Busy Moms class. 💜 Learn more about it here: https://payhip.com/cicinspireme/self-care-for-busy-moms 💜 Enjoy the episode and share it with a momma you love! -------------------------- Grab your Self-care affirmations book: https://payhip.com/b/ENwb   👉 Get your Free Guide 5 Lies Mom Guilt Makes You Believe & What the Bible Says Instead here: https://mailchi.mp/f51947652f1c/5-lies-mom-guilt-makes-you-believe  Join me online: 💜 Connect with me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/cicinspireme/  💜 Join our Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RockYourFierceFaith 💜 Follow me on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cicinspireme  Email: info@cicinspireme.com About your host: Chari Twitty-Hawkins inspires moms to embrace self-care, self-awareness, and self-compassion! 3 Scriptures for Overwhelmed Moms - EPS 114

Are you feeling overwhelmed by everything you're doing right now, momma? Between taking care of your kiddos, keeping up with everything that needs to be done, and trying to make sure everyone has what they need, it can feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. But God never intended for you to carry it all on your own. In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I'm sharing 3 scriptures for overwhelmed moms who are carrying too much. These are scriptures you can come back to when you're feeling stressed, mentally exhausted, or like there's just too much on your plate. I talk about what God's Word says about giving Him the things that are weighing you down, trusting Him when life feels overwhelming, and remembering where your strength comes from when you feel like you don't have anything left to give. Because sometimes self-care looks like recognizing that you were never meant to do everything, fix everything, or carry everything by yourself. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stressed, emotionally exhausted, or you're a busy Christian mom who needs some encouragement today, I think this episode will really speak to you. And if you're ready to start prioritizing your self-care, I want to invite you to my Self-Care for Busy Moms class. In it I help you shift your mindset about self-care and learn how to show up for yourself everyday! 💜 Learn more about Self-Care for Busy Moms here: https://payhip.com/cicinspireme/self-care-for-busy-moms  💜 Enjoy the episode and share it with a momma who needs it! -------------------------- Grab your Self-care affirmations book: https://payhip.com/b/ENwb   👉 Get your Free Guide 5 Lies Mom Guilt Makes You Believe & What the Bible Says Instead here: https://mailchi.mp/f51947652f1c/5-lies-mom-guilt-makes-you-believe  Join me online: 💜 Connect with me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/cicinspireme/  💜 Join our Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RockYourFierceFaith 💜 Follow me on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cicinspireme  Email: info@cicinspireme.com About your host: Chari Twitty-Hawkins inspires moms to embrace self-care, self-awareness, and self-compassion! Helping Your Teen Discover Their God-Given Purpose

As mom we want our preteens and teens to make good choices and walk in their God-given purpose. It can be hard to know how much to guide them and how much to let them figure out on their own. Sometimes we can put so much pressure on ourselves to help them figure it all out. In this episode, I'm joined by Helen Verroux, education consultant, speaker, author, and coach who helps parents raise purpose-led teens. We talk about what purpose-led parenting looks like and how we can guide our children as they discover their gifts, interests, and who God created them to be. We also talk about what to do when your child doesn't seem motivated or know what they want to do yet, and how to give them space to explore without feeling like you have to figure out their entire future for them. In this episode, you'll learn: 💜 What it means to raise a purpose-led teen by being the example. 💜 How to help your teen discover their God-given gifts and purpose with intentional communication. 💜 How to guide and support your teen without carrying the pressure of figuring out their future. If you've been wondering whether your teen is on the right path or questioning if you're doing enough to prepare them for what's next, this episode will encourage you to keep guiding, praying, and trusting God as your teen grows into who He created them to be. Back to school season can get overwhelming quickly, especially when you're a busy mom trying to manage everyone else's schedules, routines, activities, and needs. But where do YOU fit into this new season, momma? In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I'm sharing how to prioritize yourself during the back-to-school rush without letting mom guilt push your needs back to the bottom of the list. We'll talk about what you need in your new back-to-school routine, what you're taking on that may not actually need to be your responsibility, and some of the unrealistic expectations we put on ourselves as moms. Forgiving the Unforgivable Through God’s Word - EPS 111

Have you ever known that God was calling you to forgive someone, but the hurt was so deep that you didn’t know how? Forgiveness can be especially hard when the person who hurt you was someone who was supposed to love, protect, or care for you. You may know what the Bible says about forgiveness, but actually walking it out when you’re still carrying pain is a completely different story. In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I’m joined by Lisa Schafer to talk about Christian forgiveness, healing from painful experiences, and how God’s Word can help us begin letting go of bitterness and moving toward freedom. Lisa shares parts of her own story, including experiencing abuse and feeling like a discarded daughter. I also share some of my own experience with the hurt of having a father who wasn’t there. We talk about why forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending that what happened was okay and why part of healing is being willing to look at how the pain is still affecting you today. In this episode, we talk about: 💜 What biblical forgiveness really looks like when the hurt is deep. 💜 Why starting with what God’s Word says about you is an important part of healing. 💜 How unresolved hurt and bitterness can continue affecting your life. 💜 Practical first steps toward forgiving the unforgivable and finding freedom. If you’ve been struggling to forgive someone who hurt you or wondering how to begin healing from your past, I hope this conversation reminds you that God sees your pain, His Word still speaks truth over who you are, and you don’t have to stay stuck in what happened to you. Why Moms Need to Slow Down - EPS 110

Momma, have you ever known you needed to slow down, but you kept pushing yourself anyway? As moms, we can get so used to taking care of everyone else that often we ignore what we need. Even when we're tired, overwhelmed, or our body is telling us to slow down, we still feel like we need to keep going. In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I'm talking about why slowing down is an important part of self-care for moms and what happened when I had to remind myself of this recently. Sometimes self-care means recognizing that you don't have the same capacity you normally have and asking yourself a simple question: What do I need today? If you're a busy mom who struggles to rest, feels guilty slowing down, or has gotten used to putting your needs on the back burner, this episode is for you. And if you’re ready to go deeper and start prioritizing yourself consistently, I want to invite you to my Self-Care for Busy Moms class. This is where I help you move past mom guilt, renew your mindset, and learn how to show up with more peace, confidence, and clarity… not just as a mom, but as a woman too. 💜 Check it out here: https://payhip.com/cicinspireme/self-care-for-busy-moms  ------------------- Get your Self-care affirmations book: https://payhip.com/b/ENwb   👉 Get your Free Guide 5 Lies Mom Guilt Makes You Believe & What the Bible Says Instead here: https://mailchi.mp/f51947652f1c/5-lies-mom-guilt-makes-you-believe  Join me online: 💜 Connect with me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/cicinspireme/  💜 Join our Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RockYourFierceFaith 💜 Follow me on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cicinspireme    Email: info@cicinspireme.com About your host: Chari Twitty-Hawkins inspires moms to embrace self-care, self-awareness, and self-compassion! Sometimes Self-Care is Doing it Afraid - EPS 109

Self-care isn’t always what we think it is. Most of the time, we think about rest. Taking a break and slowing down. And yes, those things matter. But sometimes self-care looks very different. Sometimes it looks like showing up… even when you’re afraid. In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I’m sharing a personal takeaway from my recent brand photo shoot and how it shifted the way I think about self-care as a busy mom. Because it wasn’t just about taking pictures. It was about being seen, stepping outside of my comfort zone, and doing something that felt uncomfortable… but I knew I needed to show up for me. If you’ve been feeling stuck, holding yourself back, or waiting until you feel ready to do something, this episode is going to challenge you in a good way. I talk a lot about self-care for moms, but what if part of taking care of yourself is choosing to show up, use your voice, and do something courageous… even when you don’t feel ready? If you’ve been struggling with fear, self-doubt, or feeling like you keep putting yourself on the back burner, I think this will really speak to you. And if you’re ready to go deeper and start prioritizing yourself for real, I want to invite you to my Self-Care for Busy Moms class. This is where I help you move past mom guilt, renew your mindset, and learn how to show up with more peace, confidence, and clarity… not just as a mom, but as a woman. 💜 Check it out here: https://payhip.com/cicinspireme/self-care-for-busy-moms 💜 I hope you enjoy this episode and share this with a momma who needs it! ---------------------------- Get your Self-care affirmations book: https://payhip.com/b/ENwb   👉 Get your Free Guide 5 Lies Mom Guilt Makes You Believe & What the Bible Says Instead here: https://mailchi.mp/f51947652f1c/5-lies-mom-guilt-makes-you-believe  Join me online: 💜 Connect with me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/cicinspireme/  💜 Join our Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RockYourFierceFaith 💜 Follow me on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cicinspireme    Email: info@cicinspireme.com About your host: Chari Twitty-Hawkins inspires moms to embrace self-care, self-awareness, and self-compassion!
