    DAY 40 : WILLINGNESS IN GIVING

    Dedication of material possessions to God is done out of willingness, not out of reluctance. Second Corinthians 9:7 tells us: “Each of you should do as you have decided in your heart, without difficulty or force, for God loves a cheerful giver.” When we give, we must give with joy and God will bless your giving.

    There are two things that can test our hearts towards God, namely money and time. Matthew 6:21 says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” This statement indicates that everything belongs to the Lord. We need to understand that everything we have comes from God. Even our present money is entrusted to us by God. For example, if you hire a steward for your home, that home does not belong to him; he only manages it and does not have ownership, only stewardship.

    Words can also express and intensify emotions such as hatred, fear, anger, doubt, discouragement, and discontent. Whether written or spoken, such words can harm and disrupt healthy environments and relationships. Since the tongue holds the power of life and death, we must be cautious about the content and manner of our speech. Think about what you say. Your words can change everything!
