Living Evolved: Ecstatic Birth, Secure Attachment, and Trusting Your Inner Wisdom

What if birth could be more than something to endure? What if it could be pleasurable, empowering, deeply connected—and even ecstatic? In this episode of The Orgasmic Birth Podcast, Debra Pascali-Bonaro speaks with author, educator, and mother of three, Kitty Stitt, about her unexpected orgasmic birth and the wisdom that has guided her work with women, families, and future educators. Kitty shares how movement, low vocalization, privacy, safety, and trust supported her through three very different births. Her middle daughter’s birth included an unplanned, full-body orgasmic experience—one that helped Kitty recognize the extraordinary capacity of the birthing body when we are able to follow instinct rather than fear. Together, Debra and Kitty explore ecstatic birth, birth sounds, creating a protected birth space, secure attachment, and the possibility of raising children within an ethic of love, peace, and presence. In this episode * Kitty shares the story of her accidental orgasmic birth and the sensations of euphoria, instinct, sound, and deep connection she experienced. * Why low, open vocalization can help some birthing people stay grounded in their bodies rather than moving into fear or overthinking. * The value of an active birth: moving, circling the hips, leaning on a wall, and responding to each contraction in the way your body calls for. * Why a quiet, private, protected birth environment can make space for communication between parent and baby. * The powerful reframe from “tearing” to “stretching” during birth. * How a supportive partner can protect the birth space and offer loving reassurance to both parent and baby. * Why every birth is unique—and why there is no single “right” kind of birth experience. * Kitty’s perspective on secure attachment, responsive caregiving, and finding a few trusted mother mentors rather than becoming overwhelmed by parenting advice. * How peaceful parenting, presence, and loving connection can help shape a more peaceful future. * Practical mantras for pregnancy, birth, and daily life, including: “All is well and I am safe.” About Kitty Kitty Stitt is an author, teacher, and mother of 3 happy daughters, and has been in a loving relationship with her husband, Peter, for 30 years. Kitty is passionate about natural birth and secure attachment bonding. She’s taught health and wellbeing in schools across Australia and the world, including lecturing at The University of Sydney in the Faculty of Education. Through facilitating full-moon women’s circles, retreats and one-on-ones, she guides us to discover our true self, align to it and eventually embody it. Beyond Pain: Creating Safety and Trust for Ecstatic Birth

In this episode of The Orgasmic Birth Podcast, Debra Pascali-Bonaro speaks with Joni Edelmann, a birth guide, educator, and former labor and delivery nurse who brings together science, sacredness, and decades of birth experience. Together, they explore how safety, nervous system regulation, privacy, and trust can create the conditions for ecstatic birth in any setting, including the hospital. Joni shares the story of her own births, including how her fifth birth became the first she experienced as truly not painful, but deeply intense, joyful, and transformative. She also reflects on how pregnancy, birth, trauma awareness, and support from trusted care providers can shape not only birth outcomes, but a person's sense of power and possibility. This conversation offers practical insight into: What safety really means in birth. How trauma can affect the nervous system and labor. Ways to support parasympathetic regulation. Why privacy, quiet, and trust matter so much. How to process birth experiences that were difficult or disappointing. Why the birth you dream of may be more possible than you think.  Joni also reminds listeners that choosing the right support team matters, and that people deserve care aligned with their values, goals, and vision for birth. Joni Edelman is a birth guide, educator, and former labor and delivery nurse who holds science and sacred at the same altar. With three decades of experience supporting birth in hospitals and homes, she helps families reconnect with the innate intelligence of the body and approach birth as a powerful, transformative, and potentially ecstatic experience. https://www.13moonsbirthwork.com Instagram  - https://www.instagram.com/13moonsbirth -- Review and follow the show—we'd love to hear how this episode inspired you! Pelvic Floor Health - Why Peeing (when you don't want to) after Birth Isn't Normal

In this bold and deeply informative episode of the Orgasmic Birth Podcast, Debra Pascali-Bonaro sits down with pelvic floor expert Jana Danielson to challenge long-held myths about women's bodies, postpartum healing, and pleasure. From incontinence to pain during sex to diminished orgasm, many women are told these experiences are "normal" after birth. Jana offers a powerful reframe: they may be common — but they are not normal, and they are not something women have to live with. Together, they explore how pelvic floor health is foundational not only for birth and recovery, but for lifelong vitality, confidence, and pleasure. Jana shares her personal journey from chronic illness and disconnection to healing through breath and movement — a path that ultimately led her to develop the Cooch Ball and her unique approach to pelvic floor fitness. In this episode, you'll learn: Why "just do your Kegels" may be outdated — and even harmful The difference between a tight pelvic floor and a strong one How breath and posture directly impact pelvic floor function Why symptoms like leaking, pain, and low libido are signals — not life sentences The connection between pelvic floor health and orgasmic potential This conversation is a powerful invitation to reconnect with your body, reclaim your health, and redefine what's possible — at every stage of life. About Jana Danielson Jana is a pelvic floor and movement expert, founder of Bloom Better, and creator of the Cooch Ball — the world's first pelvic floor fitness tool for women.
