79 | How to Speak Up With Grace: Boundaries, Boldness + Beauty with Dr. Heather Burchfield

Hello Beautiful! Have you been keeping the peace… but quietly losing yourself? Maybe you’ve tried “just letting it go,” staying pleasant, and being the easy one—hoping things will get better if you don’t make waves. But for so many midlife women, that strategy doesn’t bring peace… it brings pressure. Because what we call “being nice” often turns into shrinking, over-explaining, and swallowing what God may actually be asking us to confront with truth and love. In this episode, I’m sitting down with Dr. Heather Burchfield, best-selling Amazon author of Not Here to Be Nice, to talk about the difference between kindness and people-pleasing, what “nice” can cost us spiritually, and how to set boundaries without the guilt spiral—while staying deeply feminine, beautiful, and Christ-centered. This episode is for you if you’ve been feeling tired of being agreeable, tired of tolerating too much, or tired of disappearing in your own life. You’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of your identity and strength in Christ, practical language you can use, and one truth + one small step you can take this week to stop shrinking and start showing up with grace and clarity. Where do you notice yourself shrinking the most right now—family, friendships, church, or work? 78 | Let’s Dust Off Your Calling In This Next Season

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever realized you’re the one keeping everybody else afloat… but you don’t feel like yourself anymore? Here’s why it hasn’t been working: most of us try to solve midlife dullness by pushing harder, doing more, and waiting until life calms down. But life doesn’t really calm down… and “later” turns into a long time. So the parts of you that matter most end up in the attic, covered in dust. In this episode, we’re talking about Dusting Yourself Off + Shining In This Next Season. I’ll help you name what you’ve stored away for later, recognize the inner critic voice that’s been guarding the door, and walk through a simple Attic Audit so you can decide what to Keep, Give, and Toss. Then you’ll choose one small step that starts polishing your shine again. This episode is for you if you’ve been reliable for everyone else, but you’re ready to stop being last. You’ll leave with a next step that’s doable (not overwhelming), and a way to move forward without guilt. XO, Michelle P.S.🎧 Be sure to subscribe + leave a review if you loved this episode. And now you’re stuck in the same frustrating loop. Here’s why it hasn’t been working: most advice about communication sounds great when everybody is calm… but real life conversations are usually happening when you’re tired, emotional, stressed, or already feeling unheard. In this episode, I’m sitting down with Diane Lawbaugh, PAX coach and author of Don’t Let Misunderstanding Win, to talk about how to break the cycle of misunderstanding and create conversations where both men and women can win. This episode is for you if you have a husband, dad, son, brother, or male coworker and you want less tension, less guessing, and more connection. By the end, you’ll walk away with: a fresh way to understand why misunderstandings happen so easily what “winning” can look like for both sides, without keeping score a simple, practical shift you can try the next time a conversation starts going sideways XO, Michelle P.S.🎧 Be sure to subscribe + leave a review if this spoke to you—it helps more women find beauty and healing in midlife.   Let’s Connect: 📧Michelle’s Email: michelle@michelledayrose.com to book a coaching session. 🎥Watch this on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@michelledayrose 🌐Website: www.makinglifebeautifulagain.com 👭Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/makinglifebeautifulagain   🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Diane Lawbaugh: Website: www.hopewithoutlimits.com Facebook: @hopewithoutlimits Instagram @hopewolimits   Quote from Article written by Diane for the Neighbors of Franklin Magazine: "Try this simple change for a less stressful Valentine’s Day. Ladies, figure out what would make you happy on Valentine’s Day. Share that information with your partner. Tell them WHAT you want and let them figure out HOW to provide it. This sets up both people to win! He knows the specific goal to achieve, and you get what you want. This removes so much stress. Or, you can continue assuming your partner should know what you want “if he really loved you.” You’ll be surprised at what can happen with clear communication by removing assumptions.

76 | Dress Your Mood: Colors That Lift Your Spirit (Christian Midlife Style)

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever put on a color and instantly felt lighter… calmer… more confident? If so, you’re not imagining things—because midlife dressing isn’t just about what “looks good,” it’s about what supports you. Here’s why the old approach hasn’t been working: we’ve been taught to pick colors like it’s a rulebook, when what we really need in our 40s and 50s is alignment. In your earlier decades, you often dressed for belonging. In midlife, you get to dress for who you are, who you aren’t, and the mood support your life requires now. In this episode, we talk about: - Seasonal analysis asks: “What colors look best on you?” - Today asks: “What colors help you feel like you again?” - You’ll learn my simple 4-bucket approach to color and mood, plus a surprising story that proves color isn’t neutral. This episode is for you if you’re a Christian midlife woman who feels like you’ve been dressing a little “invisible,” or you’re ready to build a signature style that feels authentic, confident, and supportive. By the end, you’ll be able to: Choose colors based on what you need emotionally (not what’s trendy) Identify your “home” bucket and your “support” bucket for this season Bring color in easily without overhauling your closet (hint: near your face matters most) 🎁 Get the worksheet: https://www.facebook.com/groups/makinglifebeautifulagain 💬 Quick question: Which bucket do you need more of right now—Lift + Light, Calm + Comfort, Dynamic + Rich, or Bold + Classic? Let’s start a BEAUTY REVOLUTION together! Next week: I’m joined by my friend Diane Lawbaugh to talk about relationships with men—whether you have a husband, a son, or you work with men. 75 | Heart-Strong at Midlife: The Simple 2x-a-Week Strength Plan

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever been on the floor playing with a baby or grandbaby… and before you even enjoy the moment, you’re already thinking, “Okay… how am I going to get back up?” A lot of midlife women were taught that “heart health” means cardio only. But when we don’t build strength—especially the real-life movement patterns—our body starts compensating, aches show up, confidence drops, and we begin living more carefully than we want to. I’m sharing a simple, repeatable 2x-a-week strength plan built around the movement patterns your body was designed for: Sit • Hinge • Push • Pull • Carry. You’ll learn exactly what to do for Day A and Day B, how many reps to start with, and how to keep it safe and doable—without overcomplicating it. This episode is for you if: you want to feel stronger in everyday life (stairs, deep couches, carrying bags, long walking days) you’re ready to build strength without living in the gym you want a plan that supports your body and your confidence in midlife XO, Michelle   Grab the worksheet: https://www.facebook.com/groups/makinglifebeautifulagain[LINK] Join the community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/makinglifebeautifulagain Subscribe for Next episode: Dress Your Mood: Colors That Lift Your Spirit   Let’s Connect: 📧 Email: michelle@michelledayrose.com to book a coaching session. 🎥YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@michelledayrose 🌐Website: www.makinglifebeautifulagain.com

73 | Metabolic Beauty: Why Midlife Skin Looks Dull (3 Glow Switches That Work Fast)

Hello Beautiful! Have you noticed your glow can disappear in midlife… even when you’re doing “all the right things”? You’re drinking water, using good skincare, eating pretty clean… and still looking in the mirror thinking: Why do my eyes look tired? Why does my skin look dull or inflamed? Here’s why it hasn’t been working: your skincare can’t fully override what your metabolism and nervous system are signaling. In midlife, sleep, stress, inflammation, and blood sugar swings show up faster—and your face gets more honest about it. In this episode, we’re talking Metabolic Beauty—how to look more lit from within without a 12-step routine—by focusing on three simple “glow switches”: the dull + tired eyes switch (blood sugar swings) the puffy / inflamed switch (inflammation + fluid retention) the wired-but-tired switch (stress/cortisol + tension patterns) This episode is for you if you feel like you’re doing skincare “correctly” but still look tired, puffy, or dull—and you want a simple way to figure out what your body actually needs. By the end, you’ll be able to identify which switch is dimming your glow the most, pick a 3-day experiment to test, and track changes in your eyes and skin—without being overwhelmed. 📌 Worksheet + Face Exercise workshop updates: The worksheet for this episode is inside my Facebook group (Files section), and that’s also where I’ll post the registration link for my upcoming Face Exercise event as soon as it’s ready—so you don’t miss it. 🎥 Next livestream: A 2026 Capsule That Loves Your Changing Body (Wednesdays at 1:30pm CST) XO, Michelle P.S.🎧 Be sure to subscribe + leave a review if you loved this episode. 72 | Stop the Scroll, Save Your Soul: Escaping the Comparison Loop

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever been totally fine… and then one scroll flips your mood? It’s wild how fast comparison can steal your peace—especially in midlife, when you already have enough on your plate. Most “just be confident” advice doesn’t work because comparison doesn’t wait for you to think it through. It hits like a chain reaction: a trigger, an inner mean girl narration, and then shame shows up with a posture—head down, shoulders rounded, suddenly you feel smaller. In this episode, I’m going to help you spot the comparison loop early and interrupt it with a simple method I use the moment I get triggered called SNAP: Spot it. Name the need. Align with truth. Pivot (including my “Look Up” reset). This episode is for the Christian midlife woman who feels invisible, knows she’s called to more, and is tired of having “aha moments” that don’t turn into action. You’ll walk away with a clear way to stop the spiral faster and come back to inner peace and confidence—so you can show up as who God says you are. 🎁 Free Worksheet: Join my free Facebook group Making Life Beautiful Again → download from the Files section. 👉 Group link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/makinglifebeautifulagain XO, Michelle P.S.🎧 Be sure to subscribe + leave a review if you loved this episode.
