Today I discuss how the "Evil Wins" trope has been played out too many times in South African film and television as a plot twist. I also discuss how it came to be, why it used to work and how "less is more" by going back to the basics. I explore this trope by discussing the Xhosa Romance-Tragedy "1802: Love Defies Time" which is currently streaming on Showmax! (It's a Must-Watch) Connect with us on Insta...
