    #96 Pilgrimage for Armageddon; Week One, Meeting Athena.

    Week One of the Pilgrimage for Armageddon is underway and it turns out the first lesson was about nearly losing one of the most important members of the expedition… My pilgrim staff, Polly.  After nearly falling from the ramparts at Mont-Saint-Michel, Polly was rescued, reborn and transformed into Athena, one of the energy lines we're setting off walking, and of course the goddess of wise decisions, wisdom, courage, strategy and righteous action. Which got me thinking about what really matters. Perhaps the most precious things in the universe aren't gold, possessions or even the things we think we need to survive, but consciousness, imagination and love. And, apparently, a rather magnificent piece of wood. And wood is the most precious material in the known universe.     #95 Nature Awakening; Cae Mabon and the Council of Free Women

    This week, my pilgrimage preparations take me to the magical Cae Mabon in Wales, where I spend a week held in ceremony, surrounded by an extraordinary bunch of humans — and a veritable plethora of inspiring, powerful women. Amongst the mountains, streams, stories, laughter and a fair bit of emotional alchemy, I discover there’s rather more to preparing for a pilgrimage than sorting out boots and backpacks. I learn about the empowerment that can come with menopause, the importance of standing up for my own needs, and the radical act of occasionally saying “No, actually, that doesn’t work for me” instead of desperately trying to keep everyone else happy. To stop confusing riches with wisdom, status with character, and influence with integrity. Real power comes from kindness, authenticity and treating every human being as an equal. Our garden sits on an energy line… a place that amplifies your connection with the Earth. So I decided to get quiet. To listen.     The battle for the future won't just be fought through technology, politics or economics. It will be fought through story.
