    Welcome to Kitaab Ghar – your window to some of the finest Hindi books. अंकिता जैन लिखित “ओह रे किसान” किताब जैसा शीर्षक से विदित है, किसान, कृषि और पर्यावरण की बात करती है – किंतु बहुत ही सरस और रोचक तरीके से। कहीं ऐसा नहीं लगता है कि इसे ज्ञान के लिए ही पढ़ा जाना चाहिए। इसमे लेखिका अंकिता जैन के अपने अनुभवों का निचोड़ है - भारत में कृषि और किसानों का जीवन, जैविक कृषि की बातें और धरती के स्वास्थ्य की बातें, पेड़ पौधे आपस में कैसे बातें करते हैं, कैसे मिल के रहते हैं, बातें विज्ञान और कुछ हमारे प्राचीन ग्रंथों की। इसके अलावा कई बड़े रोचक तथ्य और कहानियाँ, कुछ इतिहास से, कुछ दूर देशों से – जैसे जापान की ज़ीरो मैन्ट्नन्स खेती! या फिर जैविक कृषि वाकई है क्या? ये किताब किसानी राजनीति से बहुत आगे की बात करती है, जो धरातल पर घटित होता है। पाठक की कृषि में रुचि हो, या न भी हो तो मुझे लगता है कि हर किसी को इसे एक बार तो पढ़ना ही चाहिए, या शायद पाठ्यक्रम का हिस्सा भी बना दिया जाए। तो आइए, सुनते हैं आज की चर्चा किताब घर में। “Oh Re! Kisan”, written by Ankita Jain is a book about farming, farmers and beyond. Nowhere the book feels knowledge heavy or preachy, but flows like a good story, with facts and interesting anecdotes sprinkled in between. Ankita herself has seen the world and both the corporate and farming life up and close. This book is a gist of her experiences. It goes beyond just the politics that happens in the name of farmers but goes to the ground realities and at the farm and root level. She talks about the health of the soil, how plants talk to each other, the zero maintenance farming of Japan, ancient wisdom, and so much more. Absolutely worth reading even if you don’t take interest in farming.
