Grad seminar and journal club were always my favorite ways to learn in grad school. Grad seminar was experts talking about their area of expertise as simply as possible, but not simpler. And journal club was a chance to hear how an expert sees the same article you have in front of you. Like a lot of things, the more you go, the more you learn. Nate, Charles, and Matt are our teachers. Game previews and player deep dives are their seminars, and breakdowns of games are their journal clubs. They do their best to make things accessible and engaging, explaining concepts when they can, but they don’t shy away from letting the audience be confused, and I love it. I’ve been listening for a couple years now. I recommend this show to anyone interested in learning more about football. The more you come, the more you’ll learn.
