    S2. E42 February...The Month Of Love

Hey friends! It's officially February!!  We have survived the never-ending doom of January ;).  Just kidding...kind of :).   With all of the New Year hype behind us we're back in the grind of focusing on our "intentions".  Remember we talked about setting "intentions" instead of 'goals' this year.  Well for those of you who have already forgotten, here's your chance to remind yourself of that intention.  Our intentions were to keep it simple and to stay consistent for 2025.  So that's what we're bringing to you with today's podcast episode.   How can you keep it simple and consistent for February?  Well you can focus on 'LOVE'.  Our goal for February is to help spread awareness about heart health and show you how to show yourself some love.  February is a month dedicated to love.  Love of others, self-love, and pulling those two concepts together to tie in National Heart Health Month.  If you've been around at all over the past two years of this podcast, you'll know that heart health is a topic that is near and dear to us.  With the majority of people today having some connection to heart disease, it is one of the top causes of death and there are ways that we can help to prevent it in ourselves.   So listen in today as we break down the simple ways that you can begin to implement simple strategies to show yourself some love and help your heart out at the same time.  If you're looking for a personalized plan to help you address your health, nutrition or fitness levels, reach out to Kyla or Kitty today! So this week we are kicking off the New Year with a quick list of some of the projected 2025 Health & Wellness Trends! What do you think made the list?  I'll admit that I was a little surprised at what didn't make the list but we can make sense of the list. A few things to consider as you listen in to this week's episode...what are you willing to change to improve your health and in what areas of your health are you willing to address?   You may already be dabbling in a few of these trends, we have been!  Who knew that we may have been trend setters...say what?!   If you've ever worn a watch or another wearable device that has provided you feedback on your body, then you may have also been a trend setter!  There's more to come regarding these devices according to the trends and AI isn't going anywhere either.  Food trends include nootropics, adaptogens and probiotics. Have you tried Poppi soda?  You might be already partaking in this trend too! Today's episode is a quick listen...give it a go and let us know which trends you are likely to hop on this year! And remember friends, leave your excuses after the beep and get your butt in action this week! ~Kitty & Kyla

  3. S2. E40. Unpopular Opinion on Ditching Resolutions in 2025!

    01/01/2025

S2. E40. Unpopular Opinion on Ditching Resolutions in 2025!

Happy New Year Friends!!  It's officially 2025 and we are excited to bring you some fresh perspectives for the new year.   What can you expect this year?  More health, more lifestyle, more real life, more parenting, more of us! As we kick off the first episode of 2025 we want to challenge you to reconsider your New Year Resolutions.  If you've been around for any length of time, you know that Kyla and Kitty have both been huge enforcers of resolutions in years past and know that if you feel strongly about these, then that's okay too.   But we want to offer you another perspective for this new year.   We know we've had similar resolutions every year, year after year and rarely have we EVER actually accomplished those resolutions.  Partly because we stop looking at them soon after the New Year and because they are too complex to achieve without an actual plan.    So how can we make this year different?!  We can change our approach!! So we are implementing "intentions" and with those intentions we are focusing on the tracking of the DAILY habits that we tend to overlook in lieu of the big picture.  We encourage you to take a listen to today's episode and weigh in with your thoughts.  Do you like the idea of "intentions", do you prefer "resolutions" or maybe you're not into any of this and that's okay too. If you'd like to join us for our first "intentional challenge" for the year, feel free to join our 28 Day Brain & Body Reset Challenge.  It's free to join or you can upgrade to the Premium version for just $25.   Visit this link:  Brain and Body Reset Challenge and select "Kitty Clements" as your Team Captain to join our team. We look forward to a fantastic year of growth, consistency, laughter and everything that falls in between.  Best New Year Wishes,  Kitty & Kyla

  4. S2. E38 "Happy Gut, Happy Brain"

    12/05/2024

S2. E38 "Happy Gut, Happy Brain"

This week we are tackling the popular Healthy Gut, Healthy Brain topic.  We've been hearing about gut health for quite some time, but it seems to have ramped back up over the past few years.  So how do you know if you have an unhealthy gut and how might this be affecting your brain?  We know that inflammation can wreck havoc on our physical body systems but it can also affect our mood, emotions, mental clarity, etc.  So this is where gut health can be a benefical area to consider.   But to be entirely honest, this isn't something that we haven't already covered in the past.  We may not have talked specially about pro and prebiotics but we have definitely discussed the benefits of decreasing inflammation to help with aches, pains, gastrointestinal symptoms, joint swelling, etc. So take a listen as we breakdown how you might consider introducing probiotics and prebiotics.  We'll also cover where to find these in the foods that you might already have in your fridge.  Feeling ready to tackle your health this season?!  Join us next week as we discuss just how it looks to hit the reset button with the upcoming New Year.  Now is the time to make your plan for how you'll incorporate healthier habits in the new year. Curious about how we are able to help? You won't want to miss it!  Be sure to subscribe to our podcast to get weekly updates with new releases!
