Psalm 103 - Praise For the Lord's Mercies - Divine Fatherhood

In this episode we want to pay tribute to Father’s Day, by looking at “Divine Fatherhood”, using Psalm 103 as our reference.   This Psalm emphasizes the importance of providing heartfelt adoration and fervent devotion to the Creator, highlighting the infinite mercy of God, and illustrates how He is a compassionate Father who provides healing, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal to those who trust Him.   The Scriptures offer extensive wisdom on fatherhood, outlining a father's duty to guide and nurture children, the profound impact of a father's character, and God as the ultimate example of a perfect, loving Father. In Psalm 103, you can discover a fresh perspective on the role of a father that prioritizes relationship over performance.   We want to encourage fathers to use Psalm 103 as your reference point to model that of our Heavenly Father.  By examining the power of faith and the significance of continual prayer, we want to encourage believers to maintain a deep, personal connection with the Divine Father, and as illustrated in this Psalm of David, to offer “Praise For The Lord’s Mercies”. This Psalm describes the "Divine Father" as one who is exceptionally "slow to anger" and "abounding in love. Who disciplines his children, without discouragement. The Scriptures offer extensive wisdom on fatherhood, outlining a father's duty to guide and nurture children, the profound impact of a father's character, and God as the ultimate example of a perfect, loving Father.  Send us a text with your questions or comments. Psalm 37 - Rest In The Lord

Today, we live in a spiritual war zone. Every morning is a fresh calibration of chaos, as we wake to reports of rampant "evil acts" and a government that seems to thrive on iniquity. The atmosphere is thick with a specific brand of warfare where "evildoers are running rampant, wreaking havoc throughout the land." The natural instinct is to react—to fret, to fume, or to descend into a state of paralysis.   However, navigating a war zone requires a tactical manual, not just a moral sentiment. This is the essence of Psalm 37. This Psalm is an operational teaching module. It was authored by David, a "man of war" who spent his life in literal trenches. David understood that peace is not the absence of conflict, but a strategic "Blessed Assurance" maintained through internal discipline. He provides us with a framework for "Rest in the Lord" that functions even when the ground is shaking.   Psalm 37 is a battle-tested manual for anyone trying to navigate a landscape that just feels completely chaotic and deeply unfair.  It is a profound "teaching psalm", offering divine wisdom and reassurance. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining an abiding faith and deep trust in God, especially when faced with the apparent prosperity of those who commit evil.   Which we see parading itself before us today.   Listen as we explore radical life lessons from Psalm 37, an ancient teaching poem, which will teach you how to find stillness in the “War Zone", and Rest in the Lord.    Send us a text with your questions or comments. II Thessalonians - Understanding The Day of the Lord

In our modern era of global uncertainty, the feeling of living on the precipice of catastrophe is an all-too-familiar weight. We live in a state of constant digital "wavering," where the latest headline can trigger a cascade of "fears" and insecurities.     Yet, this psychological instability is not a modern invention. Two millennia ago, the fledgling church in Thessalonica was grappling with a remarkably similar crisis—a community unsettled by misinformation and the frantic anxiety it breeds.    At the heart of the Second Epistle to the Thessalonians is the germination of "false seeds of doctrine." Paul writes to a people whose social and spiritual order was breaking down due to "erroneous chatter" regarding the end of the world.     We're looking closely at a community in absolute, complete turmoil. Which is something we can all relate to right now.    We are going to unpack how they dealt with infiltration by literal first century fake news, the all-consuming fear that the world was ending, and how this ancient text serves as a master class in critical thinking, and staying grounded when you are just bombarded with terrifying information.  Listen as we discuss 2 Thessalonians – Understanding the Day of the Lord.  Send us a text with your questions or comments. 1 Thessalonians - The Day of The Lord is Coming

Step onto the Via Egnatia in the mid-first century, and you would feel the electric pulse of Thessalonica.  As the capital of the Roman province of Macedonia, this was a city of sensory extremes. To your left, the tang of salt air drifts from a favorable, prominent seaport crowded with merchant vessels.    To your right, the staggering height of Mount Olympus—the Greek Pantheon—looms in keen sight across the water. The air is thick with the dust of the circus and the roar of the amphitheater, where a multiplicity of gladiator events provided blood-soaked amusement for the citizens.  This was a walled city, encircled by a great wall and a population of over 200,000. It was a place of immense prosperity and "manifold wickedness." Yet, in this epicenter of Roman power and pagan worship, an "effervescent and invigorating" message took root. How did a call to "sanctification and honor" thrive in such a chaotic capital? The answer lies in a letter that remains as commanding today as it was two millennia ago.   The history of the Thessalonian church is a testament to the power of a faith that "abounds and grows" despite affliction. The letter’s final charge is a call to total immersion: to be "sober, be ready, be sanctified & BE SAVED."    We are reminded that this ancient Epistle was written to ensure that the "TRUE WORSHIPPERS" would not be "easily mislead or tossed to and from."   In this episode, we take a deep dive into the book of 1 Thessalonians, knowing that The Day of the Lord is Coming.  As you await His coming,  know that Faith in God is not a private matter to be hidden behind the "great walls" of our own comfort. Our belief must be represented within our daily lifestyle; we are commanded to "live it out loud" as we look forward to that Great DAY.  Jesus is getting us ready for that Great Day.  Who shall be able to stand? Philippians - Things to Think On - Protection From The "Joy" Robbers

Our daily lives are frequently besieged by "joy robbers." These modern stressors—the high-stakes anxiety of trying to get ahead, the daily friction of traffic jams, and the relentless pressure of overextended schedules—can leave us feeling immobilized.    Quite often, the simple challenge of just getting to work on time can become a battleground for our peace of mind. Many of us find ourselves weary, worrying, and plainly disconsolate as we struggle to stay on task.   Yet, some of the most profound wisdom on inner peace was not written from a place of comfort, but from a dark prison cell. The Apostle Paul, writing to the believers in Philippi, provided a blueprint for resilience that challenges every modern definition of happiness.    How could a man facing the loss of his freedom offer the world’s most impactful lessons on joy? By exploring the Book of Philippians through the eyes of a faithful overseer, we discover a strategy for peace that remains unshakable, regardless of the chaos surrounding us.  Listen as we share with you from Phillipians, Things To Think On    Send us a text with your questions or comments. II Peter - Exposing False Teachers - Know Who You Are in Jesus Christ

The Second Epistle of Peter, focusing on the apostle’s urgent warnings against deceptive religious leaders and their manipulative tactics.  We stress that a deep personal knowledge of Christ and a steady "diet" of scripture are the primary defenses against spiritual stagnation and cult-like control.   We live in a time where "vague loyalty" has become a quiet epidemic. We find ourselves drifting, tethered only to the latest headline or the loudest voice, rather than the timeless truths that anchor the spirit. This spiritual complacency is more than just a lack of focus; it is a state of being "spiritually malnourished."   When our convictions are shallow, we become susceptible to every wind of doctrine, lacking the discernment necessary to distinguish between a comforting lie and a difficult truth. We move through our spiritual lives on autopilot, unaware that the vitality of our inner world is slowly flickering out.   The Apostle Peter understood this struggle intimately. II Peter was written to aid and comfort Christians who were suffering, yet it is quite candid in its exposure of the traps set by false teachers. It serves as an ancient survival guide for the modern soul, offering a roadmap for those seeking internal stability in an unstable world.   Peter’s insights challenge us to move beyond a superficial faith and into a relationship.   Listen as we shine the light, Exposing False Teachers, and encourage you to Know Who You are in Jesus Christ.  Send us a text with your questions or comments. An Honorable Mother - Defined in a Biblical Way

In the book of Exodus in the twentieth chapter, we find the 10 Commandments.   "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you", is the fifth of the Ten Commandments.  This command requires respecting, obeying, and caring for parents, and is notably the first commandment accompanied by a specific promise of long life.   In this episode, we pay tribute to “Mother’s Day” and want to share with you what it means to be “An Honorable Mother”.   We want to provide a scriptural framework for defining an honorable mother by using the letters of the word "Mother" as an acrostic for spiritual virtues.   We emphasize the importance of maintaining a Christ-centered mindset and practicing unwavering obedience to divine commandments while raising children.   To be an "Honorable Mother" is to move beyond the aesthetic and into a life of spiritual strategy. By looking at the biblical acronym of M-O-T-H-E-R, we find six counter-intuitive pillars that redefine what it means to lead a family with depth, clarity, and grace.  These six pillars—Mindset, Obedience, Truth, Honor, Exercise, and Royal Identity – are your blueprint for thriving daily.  Listen as we share scriptural reference, looking at each character in the word “Mother”, defining it in a Biblical Way.   Send us a text with your questions or comments. 1 Peter - Living Victoriously Amidst Hostility and Persecution

In our contemporary moment, the atmosphere is thick with what can only be described as a "scandalous" political climate. We move through a world where the environmental safety of our planet is compromised by a global pandemic, and where the "perilous days" are marked by the shadow of the Russia-Ukraine war, systemic racism, and the trauma of senseless mass shootings.  For many, the feeling of being an outsider—a stranger in a culture that seems increasingly hostile and where, to some, "nothing or no place is sacred" —is not merely a metaphor; it is a daily, bruising reality. Yet, this sense of displacement is where the Book of 1 Peter begins. This is not a dusty relic of antiquity, but a "victory manual" forged by a man who knew the depths of human failure.  Peter was the disciple who wavered, the man who began to sink into the sea when his eyes left his Master, and the one who denied his Lord in a moment of cowardice. Because Peter was restored and "judiciously astute" in his understanding of suffering, his words offer a definitive guide for surviving—and thriving—amidst modern hostility. When we encounter the "fiery trials" of life, our modern impulse is to view suffering as a sign of failure or a divine oversight. However, ancient theological wisdom suggests a counter-intuitive truth: your struggles are an asset, not a flaw. They are the furnace of validation. Suffering and persecution can serve as a refining fire to strengthen a person’s faith and character, much like gold is purified by heat. Shift your perspective from victimhood to refining. Instead of asking "Why is this happening to me?" ask "What is this producing in me?" Remember, your trials only last for a season, but they are preparing you for the greater things ahead.
