    E98 - Why French people never uses these words ?

    Did you know that French people don’t say “Le Jour de la Bastille” when talking about their national holiday? In this episode, we’re going to talk about something that might surprise you: French words and expressions that everyone knows… but that French people almost never actually use. We’ll also look at expressions like “oh là là” or “pas terrible”, and you might realize… they don’t exactly mean what you think they do. So, if you want to sound more natural in French, better understand native speakers, and avoid some very common mistakes, this episode will really help you. ------------- Tu savais que les Français ne disent pas "Le jour de la Bastille" pour parler de la Fête nationale ? Dans cet épisode, on va parler d’un sujet qui risque de te surprendre : les mots et expressions françaises que tout le monde connaît… mais que les Français n’utilisent presque jamais. On va aussi voir des expressions comme “oh là là”, ou “pas terrible” et tu vas voir .. .elles ne veulent peut-être pas dire ce que tu penses ...     Over the past 5 years, I’ve been working from home, and for the last 2 years, I’ve been with you every week through this podcast… all while being the father of a 5-year-old daughter. Working from home offers a lot of freedom, but it also comes with real challenges: -finding quiet time -knowing when to stop -balancing work and family life -dealing with perfectionism -learning how to truly disconnect. In this episode, I share my struggles with you. Enjoy listening! ----- Depuis 5 ans, je travaille depuis chez moi, et depuis 2 ans, je vous accompagne chaque semaine avec ce podcast… tout en étant papa d’une petite fille de 5 ans.
