Hello! Im Elle, and I am the photographer behind Rogue Paws Photography. Inspired by the loss of our beautiful red cattle dog Abby, this podcast was born from the desire to keep her memory alive.     Dylan and Ralphie

    Send us Fan Mail In this episode we talk to Dylan about his spectacular boy Ralphie. After finishing a career as a professional muay thai fighter, seeing the devastation of the tsunami in Thailand as part of the ground crew of volunteers, and returning to Australia, Dylan felt very lost.  Lost in who he was.  Lost in the direction he was taking in life.  Enter Ralphie! The 80kg Dog De Bordeaux who gave Dylan a purpose again.  Ralphie taught Dylan how to love. How to slow down How to switch off.  And most importantly, how to be present.  All lessons that helped Dylan find his new path in life.  And in the process, start an incredible dog daycare, where adventure, enrichment, and providing the best day ever! for each doggo who spends a day there is the number one priority. Dylan has built his business from the ground up, with some hard lessons and losses in the beginning.  But despite the challenges, Dylan has stayed true to the service he wants to provided to dog owners of Sydney's North Shore, with some unexpected inspiration along the way.  This episode is a beautiful reminder of the power of a dogs love, and the inspiration it can instil!     Steve Coleman-NSW RSPCA CEO

    Send us Fan Mail In this episode I speak with Steve Coleman- NSW RSPCA CEO We talk about where he started within the organisation, and the long journey to get to the position of CEO (which he has been in now for almost two decades).  Steve shares some of the challenges associated with the nature of the work that is carried out within the RSPCA, and how the organisation supports their staff, particularly those working out in the field.  We discuss burnout in the industry, how he approaches leadership- an essential part of his role as CEO, and his passion for the work that the RSPCA do- A passion that has remained strong for over 30 years.  Steve also presents a very interesting perspective on aerial culling of the Brumbies in  Kosciusko National Park, the closure of the RSPCA Orange Branch, and the challenges of public perception for the work that they do within the RSPCA.  Enjoy this interesting and informative episode!

From grass roots beginnings, to running a successful shop front in Brunswick, Brent shares how he built his business to what it is today, some of the challenges he has faced, and some pleasant surprises along the way that have helped him to expand his offerings. A sense of community lies at the heart of everything Brent does with Bark Road.  As a result, a beautiful community has formed, where fun and comfort for your doggo comes first. It is easy to see the passion Brent has for his biz, and everything he offers through it. And while small business can undoubtedly be hard, Brent is evidence that patience, persistence, continued learning, and boundaries are key to creating the life you want, doing what you love!     Gabriela and Lulu

    Send us Fan Mail *Since recording this episode, Lulu has unfortunately passed away.  Sending love and light to Gaby and her family as they move through this unimaginably difficult time. In this episode we talk to Gabriela about her incredibly special girl Lulu.  Lulu came into Gaby and her husbands life at a time when they needed something positive to focus on.  Gaby found Lulu through a rescue, and had her in her sights from the start.  Lulu was one of 7 pups, 5 who unfortunately passed away from a virus as very young puppies. Although Lulu was the runt of the litter, she thankfully survived. As though the universe knew that Gaby and her husband needed this special girl to survive and be in their lives.  With her sweet nature and willingness to please , Lulu bought immense joy to both Gaby and her husband from day one.  Gaby describes Lulu as being 'the sweetest creature on earth'.  From bringing much needed joy into their home, becoming a big sister to a tiny human, and all of the park visits, play dates and pub visits in between, Lulu's story is an incredible reminder of just how much doggos really are at the centre of their family. And how heartbreaking it is when we have to start thinking about life without them.  Grab your tissues, as we ride the wave of joy, and heartbreak throughout this episode.
