Previewing Butler vs. Karns City Football, Week 8 Games, and Brendan Howe Returns to Talk Steelers

"I haven't had one minute to think." Look who's back! It's Brendan Howe, friend of the show, making his debut as a guest this week. Howe joins "Eye on Sports" to talk about the Steelers' bounce-back win and the state of the team, Jaylen Warren's ascent and the team's playoff hopes. Back in high school football, it's a big week for fans of intracounty matchups (cough Jake cough): Butler visits Karns City in the first meeting every between the programs. Will KC beat up on their bigger neighbor or can the Tornado hand the District 9 power a second loss? Who has the advantage in the trenches? And we talk about Butler's continuing quest to prove itself in a skeptical community. Plus, our Week 8 PIAA football picks on Freeport, Moniteau and all the rest from Butler County. "Would you buy a urinal trough?"  Nebraska's selling urinal troughs — yeeeppp! — to fans for a cool $2,500. You in?  In on-the-field news, Derek Pyda and Jake Merda Adams break down the area's 3-3 football teams: Butler, Knoch, North Catholic and Slippery Rock. Where are these teams trending? Can Butler and Knoch rebound after losing three straight, and if so, what do things look like ahead for the Knights as they try to make the playoffs? The Tornado host Baldwin this week in a matchup of ex-WPIAL teams. And Freeport boys soccer head coach Brad Walker joins the show to talk about the Yellowjackets' impressive start to the season, how the program has grown in the past four years and what's at stake the rest of the season as they chase a WPIAL section title. The guys then break down the Week 7 slate of PIAA football games and predict who will win. Jake is still leading the fantasy league, but the race is getting closer.
