    This episode features a conversation with Dr. Brent Hege, Compass Center Scholar in Residence, interviewing Humza Quraishi, ‘26. Quraishi details how the Compass Scholarship Program, the Interfaith Council, and more shaped his understanding of faith, leadership, and service. He discusses how engaging with Muslims from different cultural backgrounds and other groups challenged his narrow views and taught him how to find common ground without losing sight of his own beliefs.

    This episode features a conversation with Dr. Brent Hege, ​​Compass Center Scholar in Residence, interviewing Rebecca Kural, ‘25. Kural reflects on how her time as a Compass Scholar and Interfaith Engagement Intern helped her to reframe her understanding of faith and discover the power of spiritual expression in many forms. She also shares how, as a student in the School of Music, she took a bold stand to challenge norms in choral repertoire, illustrating how Butler students are encouraged to speak up and create space for broader cultural and religious representation.

Kadakia shares how connecting with students of different worldviews through the Compass Scholarship Program, the Interfaith Council, and other campus groups helped him broaden his perspective, build unity, and strengthen his faith. He emphasizes how the Compass Center supports students of all backgrounds in exploring their values, building community, and paving their own path.

He encourages students to step outside their comfort zones and be open-minded during their transformative college years.
