Hating on Senators Recreating Weekend at Bernie’s

🚂💨 All aboard the Hotmess Express, because this week’s itinerary was so packed the ladies didn’t even have time to talk about their own lives. No new rock stars slid into Erika’s DMs this week, so unfortunately we’ll all just have to cope. 💔 But there was no shortage of chaos, because Gen and Erika jumped straight into the madness. For Ick, Eek, Eww, Gen introduced us to the latest internet trend: walking up to complete strangers, handing them a completely random note, walking away, and filming their reactions. Because apparently we’ve reached a point where confusing innocent people in public is now content. The internet remains a deeply fascinating place. Then came The Dildo of Consequence, where Erika found herself applauding a construction crew for repossessing a wood fence after the homeowner refused to pay the final bill. No payment, no fence. Sometimes consequences come with power tools. Workplace Rage Therapy took a very personal turn this week when anonymous calls hit the IHIH Spiral Line accusing Gen of being a DEI co-host hire. 👀 After extensive investigation by absolutely no one, the ladies have determined there is only one possible culprit: Gen’s old podcast co-host, who is apparently watching from the bushes as the girls team up, level up, and continue making IHIH bigger and better. 😂 Allegations? Absolutely fictional. Petty podcast lore? Delicious. Then Relationship Chaos took us down a long, twisted road involving an incredibly insecure wife, the cops, her brother-in-law, and a sister-in-law who ended up being deported. It’s the kind of story that makes you sit back and wonder how one person managed to create THAT much chaos. The ladies are hoping karma finds her with the same urgency as her divorce papers. The Pop Culture Spiral went dark this week as Erika and Gen unpacked the absolute spectacle surrounding Mitch McConnell and what can only be described as a real-life attempt at Weekend at Bernie’s: Senate Edition. At this point, the ladies have questions, concerns, and several thoughts about retirement plans. And finally, it was time for the Finger of the Week. 🖕🏼 Gen gave hers to the people who stand up on airplanes before the door even opens. We know you're excited. The plane is still closed. Erika had a more… follicular target: men shaving off their eyelashes and pheromone-maxing in an attempt to appear more masculine. Her official response? Crusty eyes and skin rashes. She regrets nothing. Some weeks you have time for a life update. This was not one of those weeks.

Hating on having to play it cool

This week, Gen spent her weekend living her best beachside life while Erika got the best surprise of her life. What happened? You’re going to have to watch to find out because we're keeping that one under wraps. 👀Then we hit Eek Ick Eww, where a millennial dad took to social media to explain just how hard it is to be a modern father. And shockingly, his list of struggles sounds suspiciously familiar to everything women have been doing since the dawn of time. The bar remains underground.Workplace Rage Therapy takes us to Philly, where a bus driver listens to his passengers and decides to take on a massive pothole. The result? A city bus stuck in the middle of the road. Sometimes customer service means knowing when to say, “Absolutely not,” and apparently sometimes it means driving directly into the problem. Then Erika enters a full-blown Pop Culture Spiral over August's marketing disasters, where the marketing bros were apparently feeling particularly confident. The LoveSac social media couch situation, those Tart influencer boxes, and Target's latest Halloween costume disaster all prove that sometimes the group chat should be allowed to review the campaign before it goes live.Meanwhile, Gen brings the chaos to Relationship Chaos with a lottery winner who used his newfound wealth to hire a marching band to follow his ex around. Because apparently winning the lottery unlocks a very specific kind of pettiness. And finally, the ladies debut another Finger of the Week. Gen has officially had ENOUGH of the Texas heat and is ready for those wonderfully “chilly” 80-degree temperatures. Erika has a slightly more specific target: Elon Musk, for his latest attempt to get his hands on everyone's PHI while creating a website that mimics Vote.gov. 🖕🏼Another week. Another collection of decisions that probably should've been discussed with a lawyer first.

    The Gen & Erika Era

All aboard the Hotmess Express! I Hate It Here is BACK and the train has a new conductor. Welcome to the inaugural episode with Gen Glenn as Erika’s new co-host! The ladies kick things off by catching up on their summers. Erika traveled and caught a serious case of FIFA fever, while Gen spent hers defending her home from a raccoon that apparently decided her house was prime real estate. When she wasn’t battling wildlife, Gen was escaping the Texas heat the only sensible way possible: hiding in an air-conditioned movie theater with a summer blockbuster. Then things got significantly more unhinged. For Eek Ick Eww, Gen came armed with a story about a naked DoorDash delivery man. Yes, you read that correctly. Straight to jail. Erika then played a video of a man having a full-blown tantrum after being served divorce papers. Also straight to jail. We don't make the rules. The Dildo of Consequence was serving road rage, bad decisions and the kind of karma that makes you want to grab some popcorn and watch from a safe distance. Meanwhile, Relationship Chaos brought us the story of a ghosting virgin, which is one of those phrases that raises far more questions than it answers. You're going to have to tune in for that one. And just when you thought the Hotmess Express had reached maximum velocity, the ladies debuted a brand-new segment where they give a giant middle finger to whatever deserves it. This week, Erika and Gen had PLENTY to say and absolutely zero intention of holding back. 🖕🏼 New co-host. New era. Same questionable life choices. Welcome to I Hate It Here, Gen. We have officially handed you the keys. God help us all. 🚂💨
