Sandra Birchmore’s Death Scene Had WHAT That the Investigation Never Collected?!

The man inside Sandra Birchmore’s apartment the night she died told investigators the child she was carrying wasn’t his. He said the relationship began in 2020 and that they’d been together only a few times in the past year. Phone records and later interviews proved he lied about all of it. Prosecutors say Sandra and Matthew Farwell exchanged at least 40,000 texts. By the time investigators examined his phone, every message had been deleted. Sandra’s coworkers told investigators her boyfriend was a Stoughton police officer. A school principal gave them Farwell’s name early on. Sandra had told her boss, her friends, and her third-grade class she was going to have a baby. Farwell is charged with killing Sandra to keep her from reporting to federal authorities about a relationship prosecutors allege started when she was fifteen. The investigation called her death a suicide and never changed course. Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292 Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Sandra Birchmore, Gypsy Rose and Bryan Kohberger: Whose Ruling Counts

Sandra Birchmore's suicide ruling stood from May 2021 until April 2026, when the state medical examiner withdrew it after a pathologist hired by her family concluded she was strangled. Prosecutors say the troopers who closed her case never recorded Matthew Farwell's interview or asked for a warrant for his phone; Farwell is on trial in federal court in Boston. This combined episode puts Sandra's case beside two others where the answer came before the process. Ken Urker was found dead on October 1, 2026, and Gypsy Rose Blanchard called it an overdose before toxicology; a year-old prison call has her describing a knife and his headboard, and their daughter Aurora has no custody order. Bryan Kohberger wants Judge Hippler removed for calling him a "faceless coward," and Hippler hears the motion on October 15, 2026. Four rounds of listener questions. What Troopers Never Asked a Judge For After Sandra Birchmore Died

After Sandra Birchmore was found dead on February 4, 2021, prosecutors say state troopers never asked a judge for a warrant to search Matthew Farwell's home or his phone, and never recorded their interview with him. The medical examiner ruled suicide in May 2021. Sandra's family paid for their own answer: Dr. Michael Baden reviewed the autopsy and concluded she was strangled. In April 2026 the medical examiner withdrew the suicide finding; the manner of death is now undetermined. Farwell, the former Stoughton detective prosecutors say met Sandra through the Explorers program and was with her by 15, is on trial in Boston federal court for killing a witness and causing the death of her unborn son. His lawyers say she took her own life after he ended an affair. Your questions on the reclassification, the half hour on the surveillance video, and the officers who never faced a jury. Sandra Birchmore Sent 600 Texts Her Last Day and Never Said THIS

Sandra Birchmore sent roughly six hundred texts the day she died and never said goodbye. Prosecutors put that fact before the jury on the first day of Matthew Farwell's federal trial. Three women testified about the Sandra they knew — each one told the story of someone building toward motherhood, not away from it. Sandra's boss said she'd been planning for the baby, told her coworkers and her students that the father was her police officer boyfriend. The property manager of Sandra's building had already pulled security footage and handed it over before the department came looking. Near Sandra's front door sat a stroller box with her keys and sneakers on top of it. The woman who told everyone about her life left nothing behind about leaving it. Farwell's trial resumes October 15th. Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292 Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? What Farwell's Lawyer Said About Sandra Birchmore to the Jury

Your questions about the defense of Matthew Farwell go straight to Robin Dreeke. Kimberly Stevens opened with one word: affair. She told the jury Farwell made regrettable mistakes and did not kill Sandra Birchmore. She used the same phone the prosecution had just built its case on and showed a different woman: Sandra searching the suicide ribbon, pulling up an image asking who would cry, the same day she planned a celebration for the baby. The original medical examiner ruled suicide. She has since changed to undetermined, and the defense says the government pressured her. Stevens told the jury there were no drag marks, no DNA under Sandra's nails. Prosecution says Sandra would not have fought a hand she had felt before. Dreeke answers whether the suicide theory holds, what no-struggle means when the person doing it is someone you trust, and why a defense attorney would call what started at 15 an affair. What Sandra Birchmore's Friends Saw in the Days Before She Died

The questions your letters asked about the prosecution's case against Matthew Farwell go straight to retired FBI behavioral expert Robin Dreeke. Prosecutors allege Farwell met Sandra through the Stoughton Police Explorers program when she was 12, was with her by 15, and killed her when she was 23 and pregnant. The prosecution says Farwell did a complete 180 in the twelve days after a friend called police and disclosed the relationship. Sandra told friends he had changed. He asked for a key to her apartment. He allegedly walked into her building hooded and masked during a pandemic he openly resisted. A state police unit closed the case in hours. That unit is linked to the Norfolk DA and the Karen Read investigation. Dreeke takes your questions on how a man in authority allegedly targets a child, what the calm before the act looks like to an expert, and how a jury trusts a federal prosecutor who tells them the police failed Sandra from the start. Sandra Birchmore Left Her Door Open for Farwell and Typed This to Tell Him

Sandra Birchmore's trial opened on October 9, 2026, with a prosecutor and a defense lawyer each holding up a different piece of her phone. Torey Cummings showed the jury the last text Sandra ever sent, to Matthew Farwell at 9:10 p.m. on February 1, 2021. She told them the lobby camera caught him coming through the door four minutes later. Kimberly Stevens showed them a search Sandra ran that same afternoon about a suicide ribbon, and texts about not sleeping and taking her medicine. Cummings gave the jury Sandra's life in order. Her mother had a chronic illness and put her in the Stoughton Police Explorers so she'd have structure, and in the group photo Sandra is the littlest one at the end of the line. The detective who was supposed to mentor her instead started tutoring her at the library when she was 15, Cummings said. By 23 she was pregnant, had told 80 people, had booked a maternity shoot and paid for a nursing exam, and had made a poster for a Valentine's Day announcement. Stevens gave them a different order. Sandra spent Thanksgiving and Christmas alone, once said her aunt had told her to kill herself, and had two dollars and ninety cents in the bank. She was scared of losing the pregnancy. And the strap carried more than one person's DNA, which Stevens told the jury means the government can't say whose it is. The medical examiner who signed Sandra's death certificate as a suicide changed it to undetermined this spring. The jury that has to pick between the two Sandras went home for the long weekend with both. This is the full opening day, rebuilt from every reporter who sat in a room where cameras aren't allowed, and it ends on the only line from that phone that both sides agree she wrote.
