A Model on Prayer

There are so many things to learn about the life of Jesus, and one key thing we can learn from Jesus life was how he modelled excellence in prayer. Jesus understood something about prayer that needs to be re-emphasied in this time and age. He understood that he was limited in his understanding and what he thinks he knows and so to do the things that God will have him do, he needed to pray. Maybe the reason why we struggle with prayer is because a part of us is dependent on self and there's still traces of pride in our lives To do all that God will have us do, we have to pray! To be bold and courageous in God's will for our lives, we need to pray! In this episode, Miss Simi spoke about how Jesus is a perfect model in which we can learn excellence in prayer from, and she also shared insights on some of the things prayers does to us and in us. Have a great listening!

The Greatest Model

Put a finger up if you've ever fallen into that cycle of having people as your prime model of possibilities. Now, put another finger up if you've used the success of other people you look up to as a yardstick for your life. Guilty as charged? The problem with having people as our prime models of possibilities is that we'll only be able to go as far as they've gone and you'd lose sight of the fact that our standard of success is in our unique template in God. We should learn from others, but look to your own template in God. To find out about yourself, you have to look to the one who made you. As much as we know about our biological lineage, we should also have knowledge about the culture of our spiritual heritage, which lies in God. Whatever is possible in God is possible in you, and when you're able to hack this, it changes everything about yourself, including your creativity. In this episode, Miss Simi shared what it means to look to God as your prime model of possibilities, and the creation story teaches us an attribute of God that we can apply to our life. Get ready to learn, unlearn, and relearn about all you knew about having a model of possibilities and having an excellent mindset. Enjoy the episode!

Industry stars- Work through God’s lens.

If we take a flashback to the story at the garden of Eden, we see how God created the world. Before the fall, there was no need to do all the things that we do now. Man's job was only to manage the perfect earth that God has created. After the fall, that order changed. Man began to be only concerned about self-preservation and self needs, and that's a perverted idea of the concept of work. Work is more than our needs, our wants, and provisions for self. In this episode, Miss Simi shared insights on how the concept of work in today's time ought to be, how we are called out to be industry stars and God is counting on His children to show the world that He is above all. Get ready to learn, relearn, and unlearn about the concept of work. Enjoy!

A Vision of stars

When we look through the life of the patriarch of faith- Abraham, we see something interesting in his life that God used Abraham's life to tell a story about his eternal plan and purposes. The concept of " Like Stars In The Sky" refers to nations of the earth that'll receive God's eternal plan for salvation. God needs you to fulfill his plan, he needs you to be part of his divine plan just as we see with people in the Bible, God told stories with their life. If our Lord and saviour, Jesus came to bring people out of darkness unto his marvellous light. How much more, us? In this episode, get ready to learn about having a kingdom consciousness, the need to tell people about Jesus and what matters most to God- Souls. Enjoy!

Words and The Heart

In the beginning, God spoke to the world and the world took form. This tells you something powerful about words- the world responds to words. Have you noticed that when you gossip about someone, the next time you see them, you see them through the lens of what you heard about them? Or, how it's easy to make people's words (negative or positive) your identity? This illustrates the power of words! The words you speak over yourself and others determine much more than you can imagine. There's a reason why after the writer of Proverbs instructs us to guard our hearts he tells us to stay away from any corrupt and perverse speech. In our last episode of the heart series, join us as we explore the power of words and understand the ways it shapes your life!
