    God's Foolish Wisdom | 1 Corinthians 1:18 | Salesi Morris

    How can Christians remain faithful when the message of the cross is mocked, rejected or treated as foolish? Drawing from 1 Corinthians 1:18–31, this sermon contrasts human wisdom with the wisdom and power of God revealed in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The world may regard the gospel as foolishness, but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God. Two essential truths guard Christians against compromising the gospel: Embrace the foolishness of the message.The cross will never fit comfortably within the wisdom of this world. Christians must resist the temptation to remove its difficult truths, soften its offence or make it more acceptable through human eloquence.Embrace the power of the message.Human wisdom cannot rescue sinners, cancel guilt or reconcile anyone to God. The gospel can, because God saves through the proclamation of Christ’s death and resurrection.This sermon calls believers to stop trying to fit in, remain faithful when conversations become awkward and proclaim the gospel without alteration. We do not need impressive speech, celebrity endorsement or intellectual prestige. We need boldness from the Holy Spirit to tell people about Jesus Christ, who died for sinners and rose again.

    A New Reformation | Nehemiah 8:8 | Pastor Tom Drion

    Do we need another Reformation? This sermon calls the church to pray for a renewed work of God in which ordinary people not only possess the Bible, but understand it, believe it and are transformed by it. Drawing primarily from Nehemiah 8:1–8, we see how Ezra and the Levites ministered God’s Word: they read from the Book of the Law, broke it down clearly and gave its meaning so that the people understood. This provides a vital pattern for biblical preaching today. If another Reformation is to take place, the church needs men who will: Read the Scriptures publicly and faithfullyBreak down the biblical text clearlyExplain its intended meaning accurately The sermon also considers Jesus’ command to pray earnestly for labourers, because the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few. The church must therefore pray for God to raise up, equip and send out faithful preachers who will handle His Word rightly.

    Understanding Salvation | 1 Peter 2:24 | Pastor Tom Drion

    What is the greatest and most important question we could ever ask? It is not merely how humanity can solve its political, economic or technological problems, but this: How can we be saved from the judgement of a holy God? Drawing from 1 Peter 2:24, this sermon explains salvation through three great truths contained within one verse: The sin-bearing at the heart of salvation: Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross. The Old Testament sacrifices pointed towards Him as the true substitute: the Lamb of God who received the sinner’s guilt, suffered the penalty of death and carried that guilt away..The great change at the heart of salvation: Christ bore our sins so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. We do not change our lives in order to persuade Christ to save us. Rather, His saving work produces repentance, new life and a desire for righteousness in everyone who truly believes.The great prophecy at the heart of salvation: From the promised offspring in Genesis 3:15 to the suffering servant of Isaiah 53, Scripture points towards Jesus Christ. He is not merely another sacrifice or an ordinary man. He is God the Son, the divine sin-bearer who came to save His people from their sins.The message of salvation is that Jesus Himself became the substitute for sinners. Our guilt was laid upon Him, and He suffered the judgement we deserved. Everyone who repents and believes in Him can say that their sin has been carried away and that they bear it no more. Salvation cannot be earned through religious devotion, obedience to the law or personal righteousness. It is found in Jesus Christ alone. He is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name by which we must be saved.

    The Pilgrim's Progress Through Suffering #2 | James 1:19-27 | Pastor Tom Drion

    In Part 2 of this sermon from James 1, we continue looking at the basic training every Christian needs for facing trials. Focusing on James 1:19–27, the sermon moves from thinking rightly about suffering to responding to it with practical obedience. James gives two basic instructions. First, believers are to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger, humbly receiving God’s Word rather than reacting to suffering with anger, complaint or hasty conclusions. Secondly, Christians must become doers of the Word, not merely hearers. Trials are not a reason to withdraw or become consumed with ourselves, but an opportunity to obey God, serve others, control our speech and remain unstained by the world. True faith is revealed not simply by what we hear or know, but by how God’s Word shapes what we do.

    The Pilgrim's Progress Through Suffering #1 | James 1 | Pastor Tom Drion

    James 1 presents the Christian life as a pilgrim’s progress through trials and suffering. Written to believers facing hardship, the chapter shows how God uses the testing of faith to produce steadfastness and spiritual maturity. The message considers five essential steps in how Christians should think during trials: viewing suffering through the eyes of faith, praying for wisdom from above, boasting in God rather than earthly circumstances, honestly confessing sin without blaming God, and holding firmly to the truth that God is good and does not change. Trials expose weakness, test faith and reveal where spiritual growth is still needed. Yet Christians can face them knowing that God remains at work, giving wisdom generously and faithfully carrying His children through their difficulties.

    Remember Your Reconciliation | Colossians 1:21-23 | Pastor Mike Dionne

    This sermon centres on reconciliation with God from Colossians 1:21–23, showing how the gospel transforms those who were once enemies of God into people who are at peace with Him through Jesus Christ. Drawing on Paul’s description of Christ’s supremacy in Colossians 1 and the language of reconciliation found throughout the New Testament, the sermon explores humanity’s natural condition: alienated from God, hostile in mind, and living in rebellion against His rule. Against that dark backdrop stands the glory of Christ, whose death secured forgiveness and made reconciliation possible for helpless sinners. The sermon highlights both the cost and purpose of salvation. Christ’s sacrifice not only removes guilt but begins a work of transformation, presenting believers holy, blameless, and acceptable before God. It also considers the Christian call to remain steadfast in the faith, standing firm in the hope of the gospel and resisting the pressures of the world, the flesh, and the devil.

    God's People: Build for Big Moments | 1 Samuel 30 | Chris Mba

    Life is marked by significant moments, some anticipated and joyful, others unexpected and deeply painful. In 1 Samuel 30, David returns to Ziklag to find his home destroyed and his family taken captive. Faced with grief, confusion and pressure from his own men, David demonstrates how God’s people are to respond in seasons of trial. This message explores four key lessons from David’s response: recognising God’s providence in every circumstance, securing our perspective in God’s truth, taking faithful and practical steps in obedience, and sharing the provision God gives. Along the way, it considers the reality of both God’s “sweet” and “hard” providences, the importance of fellowship and Scripture, and the comfort God provides in life’s darkest valleys. Whether you are facing a difficult season, emerging from one, or unaware of what lies ahead, this passage reminds us that God remains sovereign, present and faithful.

    The Loveliest Place #5: Take Me to the Loveliest Place | Psalm 84 | Pastor Mike Dionne

    The Loveliest Place looks at Psalm 84 and the psalmist’s deep love for the dwelling place of God. While the Old Testament believer longed for the temple, Christians today are called to delight in the church, where God meets with His people through Christ.This sermon explores three evidences of a healthy love for the church: craving God’s presence, being willing to sacrifice to gather with His people, and coming to church with the desire to see and know God.
